I love the smaller scale of these dies to give you the option to add small elements or make smaller projects. Despite the small size, they are still very detailed.

I swore to myself I wouldn't buy any more Halloween this year, then I saw this & the Frightful Things Thinlits set and HAD to have them both! So glad I did. I love all the little pieces than can be used for a variety of themes. They are going to be so much fun! :-)
So many pieces to use in so many ways! Another great offering from Tim Holtz and each piece cuts perfectly.
I enjoyed using these dies to make a scene and expect I will use them a lot more in the future. However, for a 12 x 12 scrapbook page they're really too small. They're more for cards or scenes on small Etcetera tags.
The book is odd in the way it's designed to have floating pages.
The candle is cut from a single die piece in several pieces so I've ended up with lots of different (useless) colours. I recommend using dark brown for the base so your wicks and candleholder are a good colour, then choose your wax and flame colours. This means you have to cut it out three times to make one candle.
However, the dies work well and give satisfactory results, helping me create fun scenes.
