I ordered and received these plates. I have used them twice. They are already starting to warp. I have turned them and moved the dies around and still they are warping. I tried several methods for unwarping my old plates too and NOTHING seems to work! I tried a standard set that doesn't have the beveled edges and can't get them to go through the machine either! At $33+ I'll go broke if I have to buy them every month or so!
I hadn’t realized that cutting plates do have a ‘life expectancy “. Although you can continue to use them as they get worn, cut & warped, they cannot be used indefinitely. Besides the ‘texture’ the cut plates give to fuuture project, the performance deteriates over time. I’ve used the same plates since I purchased The Big Shot. I recently was able to order more (they were sold-out before) and am shocked how much of a difference they make!

this machine could possibly be the one machine to eliminate all the rest. It takes big dies, thin dies, 3D embossing folders, regular embossing folders. And best of all if you have sizzix bases it takes all of them.. so the stacks that worked with my big shot, big kick, the thin let dies, the thin metal dies, my 8 inch embossing folders, the long dies and embossing folders, the old dies and stencils…not only that it is so quite I didn’t think it was running. I think it also works with the glimmer foil machine because that worked with the big shot.
This is a total WIN in my opinion.
I purchased these because I wanted an extra set of plates so I would always have one uncut plate. Love the Switch Plus. Cuts like butter!
I purchased this machine after reading all the reviews, with most of them being favourable. I am very happy with it. It is a little louder than I was expecting, but not enough to bother me. I love the way I can use reverse if I just have a small item to cut and don’t have to wait for the platform to go all the way through. I also like that the platform does not fall out when you run something through, but stays there till you take it out. And of course the beautiful rose colour is just lovely. I am so happy I purchased it and would definitely recommend it to anyone who may be in doubt.
I ordered a second set of standard plates while they were discounted. I wanted the standard size because my dies don’t require the extra length, only width. This size plate is a good balanced plate.
These plates are the perfect replacement for your used switch plates. They have tapered edges so run through perfectly.

Will these cutting pads work with the Big Shot?

Hi! No these will not work with the Big Shot. The opening on the Big Shot is 6 inches, and these measure 8.87 inches x 12.75 inches x 0.125 inches and are designed for the Big Shot Switch that has a 9 inch opening.
