Once I finally finished these, they came out great. They are small, so patience is a must. I discovered for myself, coloring or painting them with the Distress crayons worked best. I haven't tried using ink to paint them yet, but I wanted the more intense color. I tried the Distress watercolor pencils but couldn't figure out the best way to apply them. These flowers work well for cards and tags and with embossing folders.
These make a wonderful addition to your handmade cards or scrapbook layouts.
To me they are a little difficult to decipher as to which small piece layers onto which larger piece, the direction, and such. But the beauty is that you can virtually mix and match any way and it still looks striking.
They are tiny and a bit fiddly, but beautiful. took me a little time to assemble the first one but gets easier the more you assemble.
Fiddly but beautiful when put together
These are not easy to work with at all due to the TINY size of most of the cuts. I didn't realize when I bought the set that they needed to be layered in order to complete a flower. I've tried several different techniques, and can't warm up to any of them. A tutorial video with tips and tricks would be helpful. Absent that, I currently give these a great big FAIL.
Really cute! Perfect for cards, gift wrap or packages.
