I love the new Big Shot design. The flat handle on the top is great, and is not difficult to hold. The plates run through smoothly (could also be due to having new flat plates), and the machine stays grounded. Although it isn’t a heavy machine, the new design allows it to stay in place as you’re working, not jumping all over the place. This is a great option for anyone starting out, looking to replace an older machine or (like myself) still often use BigZ dies. I have arthritis and carpal tunnel, and would recommend this machine.

I'm really enjoying using this new and improved Sizzix die cutting machine. It's more compact and works more efficiently than my older machine.
I purchased some dies, eleswhere, that don't seem to cut too well so I am finding this to be more of a learning curve than I expected but I will get through it. The dies that came with the machine work fine, but they should not be the only ones that will cut. I just bought a few tools to help me out so maybe they will help. I'm sure everything will be okay once I get the hang of it.......I hope. I have already watched all of the videos and several of the classes where this machine has been used. I also order the mint green magic mat.

This machine is rolls so smooth and easy. I replaced a competitor machine with this new Sizzix one - had I known this was so much better, I would have done it sooner.
I purchased the Big Shot, but was the wrong one, so please cancel the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. I will keep all other items when they arrive.
I have finally used this machine and it is so much better than my old Big Shot. It is so easy to turn the handle, glides so smoothly and doesn't slide around. I am so glad that I decided to purchase this machine. Highly recommend it.
I love everything about it. The size, the color is clean and just right, the fact that I can apply the pressure on the plates and run it thorough as many times as I want almost sound less. I shop at Scrapbook.com for specialty items or things I can't find locally. The service is excellent (they enclose a card of the person whom put the order together) so if you have to contact them you can talk to that person. The products they carry are top notch and I have always been satisfied. And the price is right for something you have to send away for. Give them a try!

Hello. Yes, everything from the previous machine works with this one. It is functionally the same when it comes to platforms, pressure, etc. It is just redesigned and has the added bonuses like the handle button and storage.

Hello. The primary difference between the Sizzix Big Shot and the Big Shot Plus is the width of the cutting platform: the Big Shot has a 6-inch opening, while the Big Shot Plus offers a wider 9-inch opening, allowing for larger, A4-sized materials and larger dies.

The Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil machine works with many die-cutting machines, including the Big Shot, but the Crafter's Companion Gemini Foilpress machine does not. Both are hot foil systems used with die-cutting machines, but they are made by different companies and have different compatibility requirements.
