These eyelets are perfect for use in the mini albums I make because the back side of the eyelets are almost always exposed. The 3/16th size is better too for feeding ribbon or chain through.
these eyelets and washers are WONDERFUL but use ONLY for thick paper layers or chipboard purposes. there is a great youtube video explaining at Setting Crop-A-Dile Eyelets with Washers, by papercrafter45
The washers are to skinny on back if you try to put it on back it doesn’t cover like I thought. The back part needs to be wider. I at first thought you used two eyelets to cover both sides of hole. It doesn’t work obviously so I thought this was answer. They need to be a little thicker or they just disappear.
These are high quality and sturdy eyelets. However, my big complaint is with the packaging/marketing. I couldn't find anywhere in the description that these needed to be used with thicker materials (chip board, leather, etc.)--these will not splay and flatten completely on cardstock type papers, which was very disappointing for me. I thought I had used the wrong settings on my crop-a-dile and hurt the palm of my hand trying to squeeze tighter to no avail. Only then did I go back and read the comments where someone else said these are for use with thicker material.
