Interests: Scrapbooking, Reading, Collecting "stuff", Cooking, and online poker (for funny money)
Work: Systems Analyst
Bio: I was an Air Force brat that had a hard time developing a root system even as an adult. I can find the records for 32 different addresses before I was 33 years old. Now I have lived in the same house for 23 years. (I do plan on scrapbooking that when I figure out HOW!) Somewhere along the way I became a systems analyst, a wife, and mom (not necessarily in that order) to 3 great kids that are 18, 19, and 32. There were 13 years between first born and second and 10 months between 2nd child and 3rd. Does anyone else sense a pattern with extremes here?

New to our family this year is a 17 year old "sister" to my two youngest and "daughter" for my husband and I. She is an AFS student from Thailand and she will be be in our house until the end of June 2009 and (I can already tell you) in our hearts forever.

I'm also blessed with 5 grandchildren, courtesy of #1 son and his wife, ranging in age from 10 days to 8 years. (As of December 5, 2008) #5 arrived on her big(gest) sister's eighth birthday!

It's been my good fortune (at least MOST of the time I view it as good fortune) to have all of my extended family within sight of my front yard. DH and I(and the kids still at home) share acreage (but not households) with my brother and his family. Our acreage borders acreage shared by my dad and his wife (my mother died 18 years ago) and my oldest son and his family. We cohabitate with 2 Boxers, 1 Jack Russell, and 1 Cairn Terrier. I'd really like to have a cat too, but the Jack Russell said NO!

I scrapped my first page in February of 2007 at a community crop my daughter in law talked me into attending with her. Of course I was hooked immediately. There's a whole new world of things to buy out there! At the first crop I looked at pages that actually had stitching on them and thought those people had lost their minds. Now a multi-stitch sewing machine is the next thing on my BIGS list (and then is a Cricut, and then is a scrapping room (out of the central path to the kitchen), and then is a . . . .
