there are 4 separate dies that cut design into paper. it is actually not a die like you are used to but it is a pretty cool design. anyway the problem is that it takes a lot of pressure (shims) to actually cut all the way thru. i used very thin cardstock and still had trouble that i had to use several shims and pass thru machine several times.
I was looking forward to making stencils with the shrink plastic as demonstrated by Sizzix but found even running through several times didn't give a clean cut, even on very thin plastic - I used several different 'sandwiches' in my Big Shot. Oh well, never mind, they work fine on cardstock and I love the designs, will just have to make card stencils.
Love it! I have been looking for something like this so I was delighted to find it on your webpage. I have already used two of them on three pages in my current scrapbook. I know I will also use them on cards.

I thought these were actually full trader card size but like the partial die.
I'm very happy with these dies. They have fantastic patterns. These are great on cards and more.
Not only is this a fun die, but I can use it like a stencil and dab it with color, spray it with color, etc. I like how it comes in 4 separate pieces. Another Tim Holtz genius die!

Are these dies suppose to cut around all the edges of each die? Mine do not and am wondering if I'm doing something incorrectly?

I have the Mixed Media dies. Some cut and some do not. I returned one set as it didn't cut. The other I didn't do anything about. I try and cut with scissors what is still attached to the paper, because I really liked the design. The company ought to try the dies before sending them out, so they know whether they work or not. You might try another shim to see if that helps the die to cut through the paper, and run it through your machine more than once. You also have the option of returning the dies. Hope this helps.
