Warm your crafty heart with the Sunshine Yellows Creative Pens from the Nuvo Pen Collection by Tonic Studios. These dual tip pens offer three shades of yellow and give your projects a smooth, contemporary feel making it easy to control. You will love the broad tip for filling in stamped images and the fine tip for those delicate details. The package includes three pens that have an alcohol-based ink, giving you an effortlessly smooth color.
A nice selection of yellows, blends well, works great. The only drawback is that the caps are a bit of a struggle to get off, especially the little one on the bullet tip end. Tonic needs to redesign those. But sometimes I have problems getting caps off of other pen brands as well. All in all there very good, and I'm happy with them.
I was so excited to try out these new Nuvo alcohol markers. Loved the price point and the packaging that included 3 colors in the same color family that worked for shading.
The colors are nice, the design of the pens is not! As a caveat, I have arthritis in my hands, that being said I am able to all my crafts without a problem. These pens are the exception! I cannot get the caps off without having special rubber grippers in both hands to wiggle/pry the lids off. The barrels are smooth and slick and the caps are pointy and difficult to get a grip on. To say I detest these pens is an understatement!
As I said, I ordered several sets of these pens and opened the packages before I discovered their fatal flaw. I've learned my lesson, and maybe I can save others from making the same mistake.
I bought 3 sets of Nuvo and 5 sets of American Crafts Markers mostly based on price.
While the American Crafts are very poorly marked (I’ve reviewed them separately, the boxes aren’t marked nor are the pens marked with chisel versus bullet tip end), these Nuvo Markers are beautifully marked.
The boxes tell you the color group, I.e. Sunshine Yellows, Rich Reds. Each pen is clearly marked with bullet versus chisel tip end, as well as having a nice swatch sticker on the barrel.
I think this set leans very much into the peach range rather than yellows. Two have more orange and the mix of 3 should have lighter shades of the true yellow one.
But overall, I’m happy with these.

Love the sets of 3 different shades of one color. They blend nicely and color goes on well and dries very smooth. They are inexpensive and I do not have to refill them--LOVE that
I've been looking for a true yellow alcohol based pen for a few years. The last Spectrum I bought that was labeled "yellow" had a green tint to it. I tried these Nuvo pens based on others' recommendations. Though I'm still on the quest for a true yellow ink, these have come the closest. When buying the pens, I missed that they would come in a set of three for blending purposes. I would have been satisfied with the price had there been only one pen, but to receive the set of three felt like a real bonus. One reviewer mentioned having difficulty opening the caps of the pens. I think Spectrum pens can be awkwardly hard to remove, so these Nuvo pens seemed much easier to me. Those with arthritis may disagree with me.
Adorei esses marcadores!! São ótimos para quem está começando e não que investir num material mais caro.
This is a great collection of yellow. Pens are easy to use, and the color is sunny and bright. This trio makes me smile and think of sunny days.
These are the happiest of all my pens!
Love the colors and how well they cover.
