Separate IGs?

How many of you have separate Instagram accounts: 1 for personal 1 for art/scrapbooking?

I ask because I want to take up art journaling and thought it may be fun to join the "art journaling" community of IG but also I think my friends, who are MUCH less cultured than I am LOL, would not appreciate it...because of this I was thinking of opening an IG account just for my art.

Thoughts?

I'm terrible... I don't even use it at all. I have a profile, but I don't even know how to use it. I can find other people and follow them but I've never posted my own pic. Can you separate your pics into albums or anything?

Nope!
That's one of the things I hate about IG...although I like IG way better than FB!

I have just one account I use for everything.. I figure if people don't like what I post, they can stop following me. I do try to limit my postings to once a day, or twice. But if I post twice I do it once in the morning and then at least 8 hours later.

I post everything from kids and baby, to cats, to cups of coffee, lunches and dinner, flowers, plus layouts and scrapbooking stuff!

Funny you should say that...it's true if they don't like it they don't have to follow...I believe in that sentiment, normally, but I guess because it's my art, my vulnerable creative side, I am questioning it.

I'm like Ashley...if people don't like my pictures, then they don't have to follow!

I did consider having two separate accounts, but thought it would cause more work to jump between the two, and would also make my life look more posed than I want it. One of my recent craft-ish photos got a gentle ribbing from a girlfriend of mine later, but they KNOW these things about me already, it's not something I need to hide from them. (And they do "Like" them sometimes)

I also love and follow accounts that are just pretty, crafty, pictures, there is nothing at all wrong with it, just stick with what feels right for you!

It can be really hard to put yourself "out there", especially when it is something personal like your creativity.
