Attaching bows to cards

I'm having a heck of a time getting ribbon bows to stay on my cards, I've used different types of double sided tape and glues but when people are taking the cards in and out of the card racks they still manage to rip off the bows. Any ideas?

I use Scotch Quick Dry adhesive.

i USUALLY use either glue dots or pop dots (the foam kind, cut in half if they're too big),,,some ribbons don't stick to glue dots well, for some reason, usually the organdy ones,,,I will use the occasional wet glue for those.

I have punched holes in card and tied the ribbon through and tied/glued the bow in place. Belt and braces, and it looks cool from the inside too.

I use a wee blob of glossy accents to attach my bows. Use the weight of my little hammer to reinforce the bond and leave it for 10 minutes. That bow ain't never comin' off

I have a tough time with organdy bows,,,,,,,,yeah, even glossy accents won't adhere them,,,,,,,it's really WEIRD. they'll pop off a glue dot faster than you can say BOO, and forget double sided tape.

I've got some stuff from I think adhesive tak that seems to hold them pretty good.

Probably because they're so porous! With organdy, I use a piece of Wacky tape, attach the bow, add little dots of GA around the bow center, place the head of my little hammer right on top and don't move that hammer for at lease ten minutes. When I do, I have to start all over.

Or accent the center of the bow with twine, attaching it to the ribbon that is already on the card.

I've had good luck with Aleene's Tacky Glue. I put a medium amount on the bow knot, stick it on the card, and put some weight on it (i.e. my tape dispenser) until it dries. They never seem to come loose.
