How to display cards at craftfair

I've put mine in woven baskets. If you don't have any that already would work, lots of times M's and other places have baskets for 40-50% off. Look for ones that are rectangular and slightly shorter than the card is tall. You can then separate them by theme as well. I put the envelopes in the back and they can grab an envelope after they've chosen their card.

Like other posters said ... it depends on the card. Usually between $3.00 - $5.00 depending on the products used and the time invested.

But again like other posters this is something I LOVE to do not something I do to make money. I just enjoy knowing that my cards can make others happy.

This past year was my second year doing craft shows. My mom & I do 2 at Xmas time. I find that people are a little free-er w/their money around the holidays, plus usually people send out more then just 1 or 2 Xmas cards. I did get a couple steady customers from doing craft shows & they contact me all the time for cards. So though you might not always sell a lot at the shows, you are able to get your contact info out there so people can get ahold of you all year long. Remember to put a tag or something in w/your card w/email &/or phone #. I did buy a small card rack through ebay- it has 10 pockets & can hold @20 cards. I also put some in cute baskets for people to look through. I live outside Buffalo, NY, a very blue collar town, so I sell my cards for $3.00 each and sometimes that is a hard sell. I don't care though, I make cards because I love to, I only sell them, because what else would I do w/the 100's of cards I make -lol!!!

These are wonderful tips! And I would LOVE to know how much to sell cards (or packs of) for! Does the price vary dependent upon amount of work, embellies, etc? Do you use the sleeves to hold the cards?
Gift card holders are a wonderful idea and would sell at any time of the year!
My DH wants me to do this next year so I need to start building up stock!!!

In the UK, we have farmers' markets, where local food producers sell direct to the customer. These are usually held in school halls, local cultural centres, and so on. The one I go to in Oxford, East Oxford Farmers' Market, is weekly, and sells arts and crafts as well as food, so it's good for selling cards at short notice. We also have, less frequently, table-top sales (to raise money for charities), bazaars, plant sales which allow non-plant stalls, sales to raise money for local schools, and so on. Stall rents are usually cheap for these, between £5 and £10. Don't know what you have where you are, but you ought to be able to find something before next fall.

I've wondered the same thing.

I've seen two different ways - one was to use a small plate stand (the triangular thing) to show the first with the remaining in photo boxes.

The other is a wooden stand that kind of looks like a bookcase with a back.

I've been making my own cards for 10+ year and finally thinking of doing a craft fair this fall with my Christmas cards. Both my husband and my mother have been telling me to do this for years but my confidence just hasn't been there, until ... my co-worker bought 10 cards from me this year and someone else wants some for next year. So I thought why not?
