What is the difference between these markers?

What's the difference between Spectrum Noir and Prismacolor double-sided markers? Both are alcohol-based.

My eBrush came with the Spectrum Noir adapter and 3 markers. I want more colors but Michaels and AC Moore don't carry that brand. I believe they do have Prismacolors, which I can get with a coupon or at a discount. If that's the case, I may want to buy the Prismacolor adapter for the eBrush.

You should be able to find them in the scrapbook section of the stores you mentioned. I've purchased several packs at both stores for my eBrush.

Which ones did you purchase - the Spectrum Noir or the Prismacolor markers? As I said, I looked for the Spectrum Noir but neither of those stores had any. Did your eBrush come with all the adapters? Mine came only with the one for the Spectrum Noir.

Joann has several sets in the 6 pks. Those are the same kind they have at my ACM. Its slightly more cost effective to get the 24 pk but only the one option there.

I don't believe Prismacolor markers are refillable. I know that Spectrum Noir are refillable. I hope that helps.

I stopped in at AC Moore again today. All of their markers are up front, so I was surprised to find the 6 packs of Spectrum Noir at the back of the store. It's an outlet, so all the packs are $8.99 each, same as Joann.

I saw the complete set of 12 packs on ebay, at a price which would come out cheaper for each than buying them all (if I eventually wanted all of them) at Joann's or AC Moore. I would also want to get the zippered case, which I see at Joann's.

However, all I really wanted were the basic colors (maybe 12 of them) to use with my eBrush, without all the various shades of each color, so I don't know what I want to do. The set of Brights (at Joann) has too many of the reds in it, and no purples (my favorite color) or turquoise (my next favorite).

Also, how long can they sit around before they dry up? I would want them to last for many years if I don't get around to using all of them.

I have had some Spectrum Noirs for at least a year and they are still good. I think they last for a long time. As well as Copics.
