Candle designs

I wasn't sure where to put this or if you could help in any way??
I am wanting to design a baptism candle and wondered how one manages to put the writing they want on them ...is there a special embossing machine that does it? any thoughts?

I wonder if rub ons would work?

where would I buy rub ons??

You can use tissue paper and "melt" it onto the candle. I'll see if I cna find the directions for you!

Just stamp your image or verse... onto tissue paper. The kind that you would wrap around a gift that goes in a gift bag. Just use white tissue paper.

Cut it to fit all the way around your candle, stamp what you want on it, and using some sewing pins, tack it into place. Using a heat emboss gun, melt it into the candle. Just be careful, you can burn the paper if you stay in one spot too long. The candle wax will come through the paper, "melting" it into the candle. The black stamped image will remain.

Hope this helps. I've done it for Christmas candles and it works very nicely. I even colored in my stamped image before melting.

Keep in mind this really only works on good quality candles. I've tried it on those Big Lots candles and didn't work so well.

Instructions....

Take a regular piece of paper and cut a piece of tissue paper the same size and spray repositionable adhesive on the paper and adhere the tissue paper. Run a line of Scotch tape along one edge (the edge that goes into the printer first). Print your image just as you normally would. Then take the tissue paper off, cut it if you need to lay it on your candle where you want it to be. Take a heat gun and start heating it, the tissue paper will become one with the candle! Sooooo cool!
