How do you organize your stickers/embellishments?

This is a question for non-digi scrappers.

What are you using to organize your stickers, borders, frames, etc.?

I have a large tackle-box type scrapbooking organizer for my buttons, brads, eyelets, etc, and 3 different organizers for paper. I have a big bag for ribbon, but my stickers and other embellishments need a new home. I used to use a big expandable office file case for my stickers and such, but the file became too hard to use and wouldn't stay shut (too full). I just purchased a sticker binder from a friend who used to sell creative memories and was attempting to transfer my stickers into there, but it is once again way too small for all my stuff (I could barely zip the thing shut).

I'm just wondering how other people organize their stuff. I like to be able to haul my stuff with my to crops and scrapping weekends, so it needs to be something that is easy for me to take with me.

I use the expandable files, but I have a separate file for each theme. Makes it easy to grab and go. boy, girl, holiday, baby, misc.

I put my borders, quotes, etc. in photo boxes.

Alot of people use the Clip It Up (pictured). I find it a little too expensive, so I created my own. Sorry, no pic. I bought a cheap curtain rod for $5.00 and a box of binder clips for about $10. I had dh hand the rod on the wall, and inserted the open part of the sticker/rubon that was used at the store to hang, on the binder clip. I have them organized by company. hth! good luck!

I made my own on Clip It Up too. But, that won't work for you, it's not very portable.

I would say, come up with a system that you can just take what you need with you and leave the rest at home. Expanding folders, the Sticker book...

    I know, not any help.

    Hi,
Had to share my find for Clip It Up - I found the base for 42$ and the top for 24.50 at a NSBR related site...they also had the extra clips and such on clearance as well!

Let me know if you would like to know where! I'm not certain if it is okay that we talk about additional places to buy SB items online but this was a major steal and great shipping!!!

I found cheap embellishment boxes that lock shut on another site that I use for my smaller embellies (brads, buttons, flowers etc). Both boxes have handles, and I have a bag both boxes fit in to take them to crops. For my stickers I have an expandable file folder that also fits in the bag with the embellie boxes. I bought the expandable file thingy at the local office supply store.

I use a PSB. It holds a ton. The only drawback is it doesn't come with a lot of pages and it can get pricey to buy refills. Mine came with a ton of pages because I bought it used.

I also use the expandable files and they are labled according to themes... works well for me.

I'm going to have to try the expandable foler. I have mine in a plastic lock-tite box and it's a pain to have to dig through it all. Thanks!

Iuse a homemade Clip It Up also. I love it! You can checkout my blog if you are interested but like someone said, it's not portable. if you want a psb I have one i could give you. Just pay shipping. I've been meaning to get rid of it for awhile. It's full of pages.

I have mine separated by subject and put in expandable files (coupon holders or larger if you need it) that fit in my drawers with each theme. These are easy to find on sale at Target when the seasons change -- so do the colors of everything.

I also use peg board to hang them above me. Anything generic (shapes etc) Once I open them I can either punch a hole in the sheet the sticker is on or punch a hole in the celo bag and hang it up.

Scraprack - best system around. Pics in my gallery and they have a website.

I have them in legal size file folders like this. It works well for me.

I'm still trying to figure out the best way to organize my supplies. I have a plastic drawer thing for my paper, which seems to work OK, but I would like to get something where I could see more of the paper and have more categories. I have mini drawers with individual Cropper Hopper boxes for buttons, brads, eyelets and ribbons. This works pretty good. I'm saving up to get a Clip-It-Up , but may just use one of the ideas here to make my own.

I also use expandable file folders and label each one with a different theme. That way I can grab the few that apply to what I'm working on and go. It works well for me.

I use cheap 12x12 scrap albums I got at ACM($3 each on sale). Divide by category for each album (album for floral and flourish, album for baby, album for Halloween/Christmas, etc) They look pretty lined up on my scrapping shelves and when I want something, I go to that album and flip through. You can see everything so easily. Love this system. (I use a 3 ring binder and divided picture pages for small stuff like diecuts, etc..)

I also started using expanding files (small/folder size ones for the smaller/ less scrapped themes & the larger folders for the larger themes...family, Christmas...etc). They are seperated by themes like others have suggested. It is so much easier to grab one and go for a crop or if I'm working on something somewhere else in the house. I had the Clip It Up system (actually I had 2) & found it to be too big for my room and really overwhelming to find what I needed or put anything away (not a good idea for anyone who has lots of stuff to hang). JMO.

Lots of little jars. You can buy the neatest spice racks with empty jars! My stickers are on my Clip-It-Up , and my ribbons are on a rack that I use with the ribbon rings (see gallery). It was sold as a toilet paper holder!

I use a filing system as well. I organize Stickers, diecuts and papers by theme so if I'm working on Christmas, I pull out the file and everything I have regarding that theme is at my fingertips.

I use an old 8 1/2 x 11 3 ring binder with clear sheets in it so I can see all of them.

The ones that are too long for this I put in clear folders I got at Walmart in the scrapbook section.
