how to use spray adhesive?

Hello, everyone. I need guidance again. lol. I used spray adhesive to glue my paper to my chipboard book and I loved the way it worked as far as the paper stuck great to the chipboard and it wasn't wet or bubbly like mod podge, but how do you keep from getting overspray on everything else in the room? tia

I use a cardboard Box. I put what I want the adhesive in the bottom of it and the walls of the box catch the extra spray.

I don't spray in my scrap room, I don't like the fumes. I spray on my porch or in the basement if it's super cold or hot on the porch.
I put the item I'm spraying on scrap newspaper. You don't want to spray too close to the item or it will get too wet.

Usually the garage, my work area is way too enclosed, even with a ceiling fan.

Newspaper on the floor, then a cardboard box a good bit larger than whatever is going to be sprayed.

Does spray adhesive work for glitter? I tried sprinkling some glitter on newly painted chipboard last week, but a lot of the glitter came off once the paint dried. Should I spray something on it to seal it? How do you get glitter to stay on? I haven't used it before, so I'm not sure how to make it stick to things.

I use mod podge or better yet, Glossy Accents (or Diamond Glaze ) for glitter. You can use it to adhere the glitter to something and then another coat to seal it in after the first coat dries.

Thanks, I actually have some Diamond Glaze in my repertoire, so I'll try it out. I appreciate the advice!

sure! The thing with glitter is sealing it so it doesn't all come off. It can be messy if ya don't!

thanks for all the great advice. I quess I'll go outside so everything doesn't get sticky, or maybe it's a sign I need to scrap everything. lol.
