Title Page Ideas

Hi y'all!

I've been reading a lot of great posts and ideas here and I love this website! It's now part of my daily internet viewing.

I need some help. I'm kinda stuck on a title page for one of my scrapbooks. I can't seem to come up with an idea. This book is just about me...things I've done, places I've visited, friends, etc. All I have as my first page is a blank, purple sheet of cardstock. (Purple's my favorite color.) The title pages for my other two scrapbooks (my finace and I and my Kindergarten class) that I'm working on were easy.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them. Thanks!!

How about a plain title such as "ME" or "ALL ABOUT ME" ---take a look at children's book titles---they give great inspiration (or use your favorite book title)

In my scrapbooks I don't necessarily use titles. They are sorted by subject, like yours, and so I put a poem or quote on the title page. Like my album with all my old childhood pictures and family pictures has a quote that says "If you don't recount your family history, it will be lost. Honor your own stories and tell them too. The tales may not seem very important, but they are what bonds families and makes each of us who we are."-Madeleine L Engle Then I print it out on cardstock in a nice font and decorate the page. Maybe you could use a poem you feel describes you or a favorite quote and just have the title of your album be your name.

I really like sfmadrigal's quote. I think you could find some awesome piece of poetry (maybe something you've written yourself) and put that at the top of your page. Then you could write a short introduction about who you are and where you've come from. Write about what an interesting person you are. Make it good! You are perfect, complex, wonderful, ambitous, loving, giving, etc.

You could also do something simple like: All About Amy! A=Amazing M=Magical Y=Young at heart, do an acrostic. I think that's what it's called. Most of all, let it represent you. That's why the page is purple after all, because it's one of your favorite things. Also, this is the first page people will see when they open your album, you want to make a good impression.

I love all these ideas!!! I'm so excited to do this title page now. I was dreading it in a major way. I'm going out today to purchase some sb things and now I have all these great ideas. I'm excited! (I know, I said that already but it's true!)
