what size (kb) is a 4x6

Last weekend I took some pictures at the zoo. I'd like to crop them...anyone know the min KB for a 4x6? (I'm uploading them at walmart...)

I know 1385 KB will print 8x10 and 567 KB is too small for 4x6....

If you have a photo of the size you want in your computer right click on its file and click on properties it will tell you the file size, kb etc. Maybe you could use this as a guide? If all else fails call there photo shop, some of them are very up on things. Good luck!

I think it also depends on your camera settings, you can take a picture at higher pixel resolution and it will have a larger file size than if you take pics at a lower setting. It shouldn't matter the size of your file, you should be able to choose the size of your picture when you order at Walmart.

Good thinking calling walmart...didn't think of that...lol.

the camera was set to 4.1mp (goofy me didn't know I had the mini card in there and ran out of room...I'm used to having a half gig in there)

(a big slow, but figured I'd go back to cropping the pictures and remembered I posted a question...lol)

Good question actually, I'm currently scanning a bunch of old pictures and then saving them. I was gonna take them to Walmart on my pen drive and have them printed out. That will work right?

If you scan them at the highest quality and save them at the highest quality, you should be able to print them without a problem. I've scanned 8x10's and 5x7's then had them reprinted at walmart.

i'd just rather do it at my computer, even though it mean using exporler and getting ******** on my computer, than going and dealing with them.

Thanks. I wanted to do it this way so I could get them printed out at a better quality than they are now. My home printer won't do that.

Depends on the resolution. Higher resolution bigger size, lower resolution smaller size.
