I need help. New to Cricut.

Hello. I am in need of some help or advice. I recently purchased a Cricut Explore Air with the hopes of making my own wedding invitations. I want to do a "Papel Picado" style of invitation with customized wording. Before purchasing the Cricut I contacted their customer service to ensure I could make them. The person whom I spoke with assured me they could be done. I contacted their customer service once I had the machine and the second person I spoke said I had to make my own file and upload it, however, I am clueless about this process. I am at a standstill with no direction at this time.

Please help!! Pretty please.

I'm not sure if this will help but they have a youtube channel with video tutorials. You might find some there that will help you.
