Lovin' the 12x12 Sterilite drawers!!!

I went to Wal-Mart by myself yesterday afternoon (big treat going ANYWHERE by myself! LOL) just to look at all the organization items available. I was a very good girl and only purchased two sets of the 12x12 Sterilite drawers ($8.84 each). They stack so well and the six drawers are just perfect!!! I pulled out ALL my paper from various places and separated it by major color. I can see it all and it is covered to keep the dust out. (We live in a very dusty area! I can dust every single day and there is still DUST!)

I started out organizing by ROYGBIV (colors), but quickly discovered I don't have as many reds, oranges, and yellows as I do greens, blues, and purples (violets). I didn't bother separating blue from indigo. LOL I also have a lot of what I call neutrals (black, white, creams, browns). So my six drawers are:

Yellows, Oranges, Reds
Pinks
Greens
Blues (by far the fullest drawer and I have a DAUGHTER...LOL)
Purples
Neutrals

Whew! What a relief to get all that done.

Anyone else have these drawers? I hope they hold up well! Thanks to whomever recommended them in my other topic.

I got them too! I have three and use them for my solid cardstock:

whites(ecru)
pinks
reds
oranges
yellows
greens
blues
purples
blacks(browns&greys)

LOVE them!!

I thought about buying a third one, but could not find another one at that store! LOL I figure I can see what having six is like for awhile, then decide about another set.

I have four of these and I just LOVE them!! I'm thinking of getting another one. They are just so spacious and convenient. I also love that the paper is covered and dust stays out. I have my paper seperated by cardstock, pp, and paper packs. Within each drawer, the paper is sorted by color. It works well for me

I love them! I have one drawer for Chatterbox, one for SEI and neutrals, one for Bazzill cardstock, one for Stampin Up papers, one for Slab and other pp, and one for other cardstock. My fancy pp is snobbish and doesn't play well with others. But I just ordered some Basic Grey, so we'll see how the rearranging goes.....

LOL! Must be a weekend to organize! I just got back from Wal-mart w/4 sets of these drawers..I sorted by color
1) Blues/Greens
2)Reds/wines/pinks
3)White/Black/Grey/Browns
4) Yellows/Oranges
Then I separated my patterns..
1) Basic Grey~sets, letters, tags
2) Basic Grey alphabets/monograms and tags
3) Specailty stuff~vellum, overlays etc
4) Collage
5) Girlie
6) Boyish
7) odd pattern
vintage looking
I do alot of cardmaking and collage so I wanted the vintage and collage separate..These are really nice!!

I am nearly done with ALL my paper and I definitely think I need another set of drawers!!! Did I mention that I kept finding paper in random locations? LOL

Any idea how often Wal-Mart gets in these Sterilite drawer units??? Has anyone found them anywhere else???

I went back with a friend and they only had 3 left...I got 2 more and she got one!
I'm gonna use most of these to hold my 'in the works' layouts..sometimes I just feel like sorting my photo's and if I'm getting ready to go to a crop I sort photo's and choose the paper and embellishments I hope to use, too... same idea here..then if I have a little time to crop I can just pull out a set and go.. not my idea here...LOL...that's what my friend Agnes bought her set of drawers for was the layout's in progress...

I have a couple sets of these, and the ones to hold the 8 1/2 by 11, need to pick up a few more sets though, man!

Sorry, no UPC code nor a photo. They are white plastic with clear plastic drawers. Three "wide" drawers per set for the 12x12 size and each drawer is about 3 or 4 inches deep. The whole unit is approximately 14Wx14Lx10H and is $8.84. In small type, it says "holds 12x12 paper" on the label, which was on the top drawer front. I removed it and threw it away yesterday (long gone) or I would copy the UPC code for you. They are made by Sterilite and are in the kitchen/closet organizer area of Wal-Mart. The "regular" size drawers fit 8.5x11 paper and say so on the label in the same spot. I do not own any of those and do not recall if they have 3 or 4 drawers. They have several other white units with clear drawers and my WM keeps them all together in the same aisle. Pretty easy to find near the kitchen gadgets and closet/laundry organizers. Good luck!

These are GREAT!!!! I bought one a few weeks ago, dh laughed at me over how excited I was then I told him he only had to get me 3 more!! He thinks I am crazy, but my paper is nice and organized!!!!

the barcode is 0 73149 20938 2. Theyre called "sterilite ClearView " and it says right on the sticker "Photo Safe. Holds 12x12 Paper

I love these so much.......even though I now store all my paper vertical in the Cropper Hopper paper holders, I use these to hold my 12x12 vellum, foam stamps and other misc. stuff......I love these to hold lo's that I haven't put in the album yet and also lo's in progress....I have several and I also have like 12 of the 8x11 ones....they make everything so nice and neat and easy to find.....

I'll have to head to wal-mart to check these out!

i have the older style 12x12 (but not purposefully for sbers) sterlite drawers. 4 instead of 3 and much deeper. love them. but i may get some of these too!

I got 2 yesterday and filled them up with all my embellishments & other stuff...I didn't even get my paper in there. I think I'll get two more eventually.

I only have 1, but would like to get 2 more - after I move of course! Right now I have all my Basic Grey in one, bazzil in another and Basic Grey scraps in the 3rd one. I wouldnt dare allow those scraps to mingle with all my "other" scraps. I have a portable accordian style box that everything else is in that works well for now but I plan to reorganzie all of it in teh drawers so I can use the accordian thingie whenever I travel to scrap.

I have 2 sets of the drawers and still have to organize the colors... I'll probably steal some ideas of how from this thread... thanks everyone!
And now that I think about it... I may have to pick up a couple more for scraps and stamps!

I checked my walmart yesterday, and they don't have any

They have some at my Walmart and they look great. I didn't get any this time but definately next time.
