Puffy Velvet markers by Marvy Uchida

Hello

I recently posted a request for info on suede finish pens. I found the article at the library, and it turns out that it is a Velvet finish. The markers are by Mary Uchida.

Has anyone used these? Do you know who supplies them and will ship to Canada?

never heard of them but they sound cool...anyone?

The only place I have seen them is in Crafters Choice book club. Sometimes they have a product sheet, they were a set of 6 for 23.99.

What do they do? Does the ink dry like velvet texture or are the pens made from velvet?

The ink will dry to a velvet finish!

Puffy Velvet Fabric Marker -item# 1022
Specifications

• Heat tool required
Creates a velvety texture when heated.

Instructions:
- Draw image.
- Let ink dry @ 20~30 minutes before heating to achieve a uniform effect.
- After you let it completely dry heat it up with a Heat Tool.
- It should start puffing up. Do not rub after puff up effect is achieved.

• Acid free, Odorless, Lightfast.
• Best if applied to prewashed fabrics
• Shake well before each use.
• Dry for about 20~30 minutes.
• Heat with Heat tool. Hair drier not recommended.
• Do not over heat.
• Wash on delicate cycle. Use mild detergent
• Line Dry
• Keep capped when not in use
• Water based pigmented ink.
• Iron around artwork. Do not iron directly.
• Writes on most fabrics
• Conforms to ASTM D4236
Uses

T-shirts, canvas bags, canvas shoes, denim and paper.

They show them on their website and from what I see, you may be able to buy the colors you want there. Good luck. Not sure if they ship to Canada, but worth checking out.
