anyone done a paper bag book please look

i am wanting to make a paper bag mini book for my mother....i was lookin on ebay just for ideas and i seen this one where you can unfold the side of a page and its like a flip out....but its not on every page....could someone please help me....i know how to put the book together just dont know how they get that little fold out part ......

I think I know what you mean. When you put the bag together, there are 'pages' that are made from the 'bottom' of the bags...the flap that would make the bag stand up, will fold out to add extra journalling, photos, tags, etc. Does this help?

There are several ladies on here that have made gorgeous books...look in the gallery and PM them, maybe they would know. I have never attempted one...yet!!

i think HeatherElaine is right...the extra flap is the bottom of the bag...it just folded over...good luck with your album

thats right , when u fold the bag in half, one side will be the opening for tags ect. the other will have the bottom flap, put a pic on the top , flips for journaling..you can put a tab to enc the flip...

just remember... how you decide to decorate the book is RIGHT... just like making a scrapbook page... there is really no WRONG way to do one... I've made several books and they are really fun to do.
As you look at the ones on Ebay, you can get some very good ideas on what to do.

I don't always use the flap. Sometimes I cover it completely and sometimes I use it for a "pocket" for a journeling tag, or embelishment...

I have not made one but I have seen lots of directions on making them. I agree with what was said...must be the flap on the bottom on lunch bag. When making the book and staching the bags you can alternate the flap from left side to right side.

right i get that its the bottom where the bag folds but when you flip it back aint that going to bed the stuff on the other side of your page or do i have this thing all messed up?...the way i was doing it is you lay 5 bags alternating the bottom from right to left...then you fold in half....sew the middle then fold over and use (cant remember the name) looks like big eyelets for three wholes....then you scrap on both sides of each side to have 8 inside pages a front cover and a back cover when done.......if you do it this way and you use the flap its going to mess the stuff up on the other side of the page your using the flap on.....right or wrong???.....if i am planning to do this wrong someone please stop me before i start this album for my mother or maybe i just wont use the flap idea.....

I didn't use the flap idea. I actually either covered it up with Bazzill paper or I turned it into a pocket with hidden journaling.

I haven't tackled the paper bag books yet. I have made accoridan books but not these just yet.
