help with walnut ink spray!!!

i need some help using walnut ink spray. I have some and desperately want to use it but just cannot make it work.

I'm in the same boat. Thought about spraying on cotton ball to dab on edges of paper and cs, but haven't tried it yet. Can't seem to find anything to show me the different uses.

there are no web sites that i am aware of. i think i'll try the cotton ball.

I always just put mine in a bowl and apply it with one of those foam paint brushes.

what do you want to do with it?? there's so many possibilities! lol!!...

aging: I usually spray the paper I want to age with a little water first and saturate it, so when I spray the walnut ink, I don't get dots from the spray but rather smears because when it hits the water it "travels" kwim? I have a special craft iron that I use to dry it out very quickly.

Another technique is to place the ink in a bowl (I dilute a little more with water) and then dunk you tag/paper into the bowl. It gives it a different look from spraying.

edging: there's actually a sponge piece that screws onto a spray bottle, (it's like a dauber for the spray bottle) and I use this to actually touch on the edges a little bit to add to the aged/distressed look.

wow...great post. i just got some walnut ink. Mine is not a spray, but more of a ink blot style. I think I will try the bowl and water method.

Ladies, Creekbank Creations has walnut ink in a dauber... it dispenses evenly... and is very reasonable....

is there are better colored or type of paper to use walnut ink on?
