pressed flowers?

A friend of mine just got a really neat flower press. I thought pressed flowers would add a lot to a page but i didn't know if they were safe or if it isn't is there a way to make them safe. i know this may seem like a silly question but better safe than sorry.

humm i bought some pressed flowers and when i was going to use them they all fell apart hehe maby it was jsut me or something but im not even gona try to use them again

I just buy the silk flowers at Walmart, pull out the middle platic and place them in a book for a few days to make them flat. Works great. Not sure about the safe part of it but I use them anyways. I love how they look on pages.

I was able to run some through my little Xyron, but it took a few tries... it's a little difficult to get the flower off of the backing without it coming apart. You can see an example in my gallery - Outdoors definition.

i pressed flowers from a bouquet and put them in a clear plastic snap-close little container thing that's meant to go on pages.

however, so long as the flowers aren't on your photos, it shouldn't pose a "safety" problem.
