Printing on Vellum

Before I even attempt this I wanted to find out if anyone has some ideas about it.

I own a HP Deskjet 990Cse, any clue if this will work? What are the tips and tricks to get it to work?

My handwritting is AWFUL! So I want to be able to print the journals.

I don't have that exact one. I have and hp 7350 inkjet. It works fine I just let mine dry a little. Maybe you might want to test a little and see how it goes! Sorry I couldn't be more help to you hopefully someone else will.

i too have the 7350 ... works great....i would say the drying is the key also

to speed up the dry time, try setting your print quality to "draft". it puts less ink down on the paper, but i've never really noticed that the quality was unacceptable.

I love to print and stamp on Vellum - the look is great. The only thing I found is that I use vellum cardstock which is a bit heaver than vellum. It always comes out great - I love to emboss on it too.

If setting on draft lowers the quality on yours, you can also set it to transparecy setting - this works well for me (I have hp deskjet 3520). If you get impatient letting it dry (I do!) you can use a heat gun to dry it faster (don't do it too long or too close...vellum can curl!). Or (my favorite) while the ink is still dry, pour on clear embossing powder (the fine detail stuff works best with text), pour off the extra, and heat emboss!
