Hi Friends,
It's been awhile since I've been able to post. My sweet mother was very ill and the result of the problems she endured was her passing in September. During that process I had great gratitude that my she was a saver of photos and memorabilia. Our family is fortunate to have items that are now more precious and can be added to family scrapbooks.

As you sort this week I want to encourage you to think about one more thing. What will happen to your memorabilia if you don't get around to using it on layouts? Will your family know the significance of what you have saved? How will you let them (and maybe yourself if you don't get to use the items for years) know the significance? My mom labeled everything years ago so we now know the reasons she saved what we now have. Thanks Mom!

We're so close to finishing this amazing organization process. I'm so happy you've shared your successes, ideas and failures (which teach and help us all) and I'm proud of the things you and I have accomplished. I believe our good works make our lives and the world a better place. Please stay on track; it's so worth the effort!

I am so sorry to hear about your mom. Hugs to you and your family.

I have many things that my mom left and I don't know the whole story behind them. But I do know that they were important to her.

I have all my most precious memorabilia all tucked into their own place and marked with times and places and why they are important. That is the ones not scrapped yet.

Jill, I am very sorry to hear of your loss.

Coincidentally, I too lost my mother in September. She had been sick (on and off) for a long time (ten years). This whole year (but especially the month of September was especially bad). Thankfully we'd asked and gotten quite a few answers to our questions about things.... including information for the backs of photos etc. Most notably, my little sister had her fill out a book of questions about anything and everything. It was very interesting to read through it when the family gathered.

I am hoping to get back to focusing on these classes now.
