i recommend this one too! i think the price has gone down substantially on this product over the past year or so..i just wish it came in some sort of a holder/bag or something as the blade is exposed and sharp.
Hi, everybody! I have both a circle and an oval shap cutters, the kind a have, you can remove the blade and store it when not in use, but I really love my coluzzles - made by Provo Craft, they are the best cutting System I have tryed. For those not familiar with the word coluzzle, they are templates. I have the hexagon, the hearts, the oval and the circle, if anybody is interested, I can trade the cuttings.
Have any of you tried the cutting system from Creative Memories? The system is great! I get perfect circles and ovals of different sizes every time! The now offer a cutting pattern that lays over the cutting mat and gives you wavy patterns. The entire system, I think was one of my best investments for scrappin'.
I love the CM circle cutter! Nikki-you have to try it again! I think it is the easiest of any circle/oval cutter out there! I had perfect circles/ovals everytime! Jenn
I wasn't crazy about the cutter at first, either. I stood right by my old cm circle cutter until my CMC took my hand and showed me step by step! (Believe me it took more than once!) Now, I love it and I have the ovals, circles, and the 12 inch pattern, and they are the most used items in my cropping box.
Hi Everyo I purchased The Shaping Memories Oval Cutter through mail order last year. When I received it, I played around with it, and to be honest, I wasn't 100% satisfied. But, as someone mentioned, you have to use it for awhile to get the hang of it. I guess I'm impatient and didn't play around with it long enough. Anyway, not long afterward, I was able to get my hands on The Lighthouse Memories Ovals And More Cutter at a good price, and absolutely LOVE it. Although I haven't used it while working on any projects, the length of time I practiced with it, it worked very well. With the Shaping Memories cutter, the cuts weren't always as clean as I felt they should be. Maybe I didn't use it enough to learn the proper way to use it. So, now I have 2 rather expensive cutting systems that I hope will be invaluable to me as time goes on and I get back into scrapbooking on a regular basis. I'm not going to give a thumbs down on The Shaping Memories cutter until I have actually used it in a project, but will definitely give a thumbs up for the Lighthouse Memories Cutting System, which, by the way, has a lot of different shapes that can be purchased separately, such as the heart, triangle, diamond and pentagon. I don't think I would be interested in too many shapes, as I'm kind of stuck on ovals, circles, rectangles and squares in my layouts, but would definitely be interested in trying the heart template. I hope the info contained in this message will be helpful to someone. LUV, Jeanne
