I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Clikit! I never tried eyelets because I didn't want to mess with the hammer. I saw this at my LSS and had to have it. They were all out and had to order more. It took several weeks to get it but it came in right after Christmas. I haven't tried any of the embossing tips so I may have to look into those.

Well, I guess I get to be a downer post. I got a Clikit for Christmas. I have severe arthritis and carpel tunnel... so lets just say it wasn't the easiest for me. Well, I'm persistent so I kept trucking. It broke! I returned it to where my cousin bought it. She said she's had 4 returned that broke as well. I just used store credit instead of getting a new one. I am back to my hammer and my joints are thanking me! I like the hammer, good way to take out your frustrations. Although, it is loud.

i just got one today with a 50%off coupon and i love it... i am already using some of these millions of eyelets i have gotten i love having all the tools in one spot and not having to get them all together...

I just bought the Click-It over the weekend, I LOVE it. I tried it at Archivers a few weeks ago and couldn't wait to own one!!! Now I do and I have used it everyday since I brought it home. It goes along well with all of the new toys I've gotten over the past few weeks!!!!! Unfortunately I had to pay full-regular price, but it's worth it!!!

My friend and I bought the alpha set last weekend w/our 50% off at ACmoore. Here is a LO she did using the alphas with the Karen Foster Metals...they are really neat.

thanks for info. been trying to decide if I should purchase clickit. Going to go check it out at store, will let you know if I get one. Thanks again for info. Always such a big help to know what others think.

I got the Clikit for Christams too. I totally love it. But, now I have found that using it so much has caused the punch tips to break down. The edges are breaking and the hole it makes isn't round. I ahve to take the cleaner tool to get it back to it's original shape. I don't think I ahve used it more than normal. I ahve asked at my local scrap stores and they both have said that they know nothing about it and that they will check into it but don't promise anything. I got the impression that the company wasn't very forthcoming.
So, has anyone else had this problem? I would love to know if mine is defective or that's just what happens.

I haven't had that happen, but I have found that lately my tips eitehr have to be jammed in to the hole, or are wobbly and loose in there. It still works great, and I wouldn't trade it for the world though!!

My sister and I both have the clik it. We like it well enough, but I'm not sure it was worth the money (with S&H it was$40). It is not silent, and does not work if your table is a plastic table. I have a wooden table that I scrapbook at home on and it works well, but is only a little quieter than a regular setter and hammer. That's an issue for me because I only get to scrapbook at night when my baby (18 months) is sleeping. If I use the clik it on the floor (ceramic tile) then it is a lot quieter, but not silent. I have heard the PC silent setter is a good bit cheaper, but I have not used one. Again, I like the clik it, but not sure it was worht the cost.

I just got back from Joann Superstore..they carry the clickit now...you can use the 40% off coupon!!! That's a good deal and definitely worth it. I love my clikit

i love my clickit. some people don't like the little "click" but i think it's better than hammering!

the only downside is that some eyelets (Making Memories in particular) are a bit harder to set. other than that, though, i love it! i've had mine since the fall and think it's great.

the LSS i work at is clearancing them (too much overstock!) at 25% off - which makes them $30. anybody in wi want one? or elsewhere even? (pm)

i have the clickit also, i like it, but it's not silent! i wonder if the silent setter is really silent.

i have a friend with the silent setter who says it *is* virtually silent, but that you *have* to use the really soft pc eyelets with it or no dice.

I had never heard that the clikit was silent so I'm not disappointed in it's noise. I thought I would ask if you are using the blue punching pad when you use it. It makes the tool easier to use and it makes it not as noisy. The company has contacted me and they are going to send some replacement tips. They were very friendly.

I have the Clickit and like it. As stated in the earlier replies, it isn't quiet. The only "problem" I've had is when the tip gets clogged. I have a hard time cleaning it out with the "clean out tip".

I loooooooooove the Clikit!!! it is way easier to work with then using other tools for eyelets. The alpa embossing set is great too, I definetly think that is an essential to scrapbooking!!

I have the PC Silent Setter and I love it, True some eyelets are a little harder to use but just add a little more pressure and your good to go. It really is silent and I only paid $10.00 for it. I posted a picture of it in my
gallery if you would like to see what it looks like. I love this thing.

At my LSS I was talking to the owner and asked her opinion of the Clickit - and she really didn't care for it. She said she sold out of it right away but then they kept getting returned so she didn't order anymore. She is a huge fan of the silent setter and highly recommended that one. I already had it and I love it too. It really is silent!!

I just got the Clickit today and it didn't have the blue mat or directions with it!!! I'll have to go exchange that tomorrow...bummer.

scraprabbit - was it shrinkwrapped with a sleeve? if the mat was gone, i'd think the only way would be if it had been opened. that's fishy...

I have to agree with "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

What's wrong with a hammer? I use a regular size hammer (not those cute little craft or MM hammers) and only have to whack an eyelet once or twice to set it. Is clicking a tool several times better?

I friend of mine got this. I was not terribly impressed. She bought the demo from the LSS at a big discount, because the owner didn't like it and was getting rid of it.

WHat's wrong with a hammer is that if you have small children the only time you have to scrapbook is when they are asleep, and well, hammering is just not condusive to great sleeping. I have a clik it and love it. It is not silent, but there is no way my kids could hear it, even if I was doing it right outside their bedroom doors. I used to have to pound forever to get my eyelets to set, or even to punch my holes. Now it't once for the punch and twice to set and I am finished. I have found that it's quieter to do it on the floor rather than on a table. I got mine over Thanksgiving, so I got it for only 30 dollars, but it came with a whole separate tin with five hundred eyelets in it as a promotion. Super happy here!
