In my eternal quest to find a cutting sytem that doesn't make me want to scream everytime I use it, I'm interested in this new cutter. It looks similar to the Fiskars. I might just trek down to a CM crop this Fri. to test it out.
Has anyone else got their hands on this yet?

I tried this out Fri. and it seems okay.....but just okay. It does cut straight, but doesn't feel "substantial" and I could tell that it is probably just as "disposable" as the Fiskars.
When I went to CHA this past weekend, I was able to try out the Tonic and the Dahle. The Tonic was "okay" as well. What I did fall in love with is the Dahle 507. It is a rotary cutter that self sharpens. It is very substantial and has beautifully straight, clean cuts. It also has blades that cut deckle, wavy, and perforated. It retails for $69 and the blades are around $17 each. I found it with the blades for $48.99 online. Yes, it's twice the price of our old Fiskars, but I feel that it will all even out since I've been replacing that *&%$ Fiskars every year or two anyway.
PM me is you want any further info.
