Is anyone else glad that HOF madness is over?

Well it's all in...the winners...the honorable mentions...and I tell you what. THANK GOODNESS!!!

I submitted and was heartbroken that I wasnt' selected. The WEEK of honorable mention annoucements just about killed me. But it's finally over and now I can scrap without thinking about...well... CK! LOL

Just was wondering if anyone else felt the same way?

I agree!!! That whole time was very stressful. I was disappointed that I didn't win, although I have to say that I didn't really expect too. I was hoping for at least an HM, so I guess I was more disappointed when that didn't happen either. Will I enter again? You bet! I'm just a glutton for punishment!

I was SO surprised that they didn't call you, Michelle! Having been at a crop with you, and seen your layouts in person, I am just in awe! If it is any consolation, you are definitely HOF in my book!!

I'm glad the waiting is over. It was excrutiating! And yes, I was disappointed, esp. when I didn't receive an HM. However, I miss the "high" that I was on while working on my HOF entries. It was a huge motivator, and the creative process was so much more fun when that HOF "carrot" was dangling in front of me, lol! Now, if I can just recapture that feeling for everyday scrapping.....

Okay, okay, true confessions here...
I entered too. I really felt good going into it, and was really disappointed when I found that I didn't win. I at least expected honorable mention, and was really surprised when that didn't come in. (I hope this doesn't sound concieted.) I expected Michelle to win too.

A little birdie told me that they apparently were really looking for journalling this time. I am not a big journaler, mostly because the photos I do are usually the totally everyday type events. How much can you say about your kid wearing cute sunglasses etc.? I just take pictures of everything. You would think I didn't own a video camera or something, and that I was trying to make up for it taking tons of pictures of every little thing that strikes me. Oh well...

The waiting wasn't too stressful for me until the last week. The anticipation was hard. On the day that they were supposed to notify, I jumped every time the dumb phone rang. Come to find out, they had notified the winners a couple days or so previous.

I have to say, it was fun entering! And honestly, it challenged me, which I really needed at the time. I think it moved me up another level, and for that, I am thrilled! So win, or not, I still really like my work, and love to share it with others. I don't know if I will ever enter again. We shall see... I think it is important to be winners in our own eyes, and not allow the contest to in any way "devalue" our work. It is an expression of who we are, and we should all be proud!

Actually - I'm kinda sad - at least I was scrapping then - as opposed to no deadlines etc now and I haven't done a thing in weeks!
