how do you fix a paper punch?

I just purchased a giant swirl punch and I have no idea what I did but it is stuck now. Is there something I can do to repair it.? Can it be disassembled? Any help will be deeply appreciated

Is it getting stuck when you punch. I would either slam it down on the table or attempt to push the punch back up. I keep a pair or dull scissors on my desk to loosen a jammed punch.

BTW--I think the swirl punch is prone to sticking...I've been through quite a bit of them!

At the Pomona Expo while munching on lunch someone at the booth in front of me dropped a jumbo-jumbo punch. The vendor told her not to worry about it, picked it up, walked over to the table I was sitting at, completely took the darn thing apart, bopped one part of it on the table, reassembled the punch, and put it back in her stock--so the answer is yes they can be disassembled, but don't ask me how she did it. It is probably a trade secret so we will buy more punches, but maybe your LSS will know the trick and either fix yours or show you how to fix it

Thank you guys! I actually was able to fix it this morning with some scissors I had. It was completly jamed but it is working now.Thank you both for your help. These things can be tricky sometimes.

I drop mine hard on the floor--sometimes that will unstick it. I actually have had to pry one apart and put it back to together on one of my punchies. I was told to try that by the lady at Plaid (All Night Media). She said that was the best way. Now it's working fine.
