I used to think CK was the best. But I think I have come to the point that I like PK more. Don't get me wrong, I still love CK, but I think the articles are better and more of what I will use in PK. There also is less "off the wall" stuff in PK. CK seems to keep trying to go "over the top" on new things.

ck has gotten to over the top...they seem to have a few people that have stuff in every month so you see the same stuff over and over. seems that if your pages don't have ck journaling or lettering using ck cd rom they don't get in the magazine.
Each one has it's own style and I learn something from them all.
MM is alright but haven't really been able to get into Ivy cottage.
I just recently picked up my first issue of Better homes and gardens though and it seems nice.

This month I just loved MM because it had so much variety in styles. It just depends on my moods and what I see and want to use.

I used to read MM all the time, but lately they seem to have gone downhill. Hopefully it's just a slump they're having!

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who thinks this! I agree though that I always find something new or enjoyable in all of the magazines. I guess I am also in a minority in that I really enjoy a lot of the articles or tips in the magazines, and don't always want to see JUST layouts. I think CK and MM are good in that area.

Does anyone else look at it this same way?
Carriebeth - I have scrapped from one to ten pics on a single page, so I kinda understand what you're talking about. For example - I took 14 rolls of film from a 6-week trip to Scotland. Although I am working on a scrapbook for the trip, I am not going to use all my pics. SO - I am going to buy a binder (my fave type of book) and scrap the pics I want to, and just insert picture album pages for everything else. That way, you have them together, so you can tell your story the way you want to.....

I agree with you, I take a lot of pictures and most of the time it's much too hard to make a 12x12 layout and only pick two pictures to tell the whole story.
As far as magazines go, I have to admit I don't buy any. I have two idea books (both bought for me by my mother) and I get most of my ideas from looking at stuff on the internet (artist of the day is great!) Mostly I just scrap from memory styles I've seen that I like.
Carriebeth, I can sympathize with you having so many pictures. Two weeks ago, my Mother gave me a HUGE box of photos that date back to the late 1800's...probably 2000 or more. We spend days identifying people and writing stories about the photos. Hope I live long enough to get them all in albums!
PK runs second for me.
And although I have a subscription to ICC it's just not my style. I cut up my mags after I've had them for a while and last night I started doing ICC and there were only a couple layouts per mag that I wanted to keep. JMHO...Brooke
