When are you most creative? ...(m)

I seem to be in my best scrapping mode early in the morning and late at night? anyone else like me?

And, do you find that some days you are really "on" creatively and other days it's just not there? For instance...this morning, I sat down and thumbed through some photos and before I knew I had put 2 layouts together that I really liked...today is an "on" day, lol! I will try and scrap as much as I can today because my brain is overflowing with ideas!

Just wondering about you guys too...

I'm definitely "on" at night, late at night or you could call it early in the morning! If I go to bed I can't sleep anyway so I just stay up and scrap. I always think I'll get up before the kids and scrap but it never happens. I'm not a morning person at all. Last night was an "on" night for me except that my 7 month old decided to have a bad night so I got interrupted and was up all night without even scrapping! YUCK!

It just depends. Most of the time, I actually set a day aside a month that I know I am actually going to scrap. Sometimes I will even carry over into the next day from say 12-3. My family knows it is a mommy day and they have become used to it. My 10 yr old has decided to do an ablum himself. I bought him an inexpensive camera and now he will occassionally scrap with me. I gave him a few of the doubles from our vacation. It is getting his creative juices going at an early age. I actually have a place away from home that I can go...so it makes it a little easier for me. I have a workshop where I can lay everything out and put it away as I feel like. At home, that would drive me crazy. My sweetie doesn't like it when I leave things laid out for days at a time and vise versa. Also, by being away from home, I am not distracted by feeling like I should be cooking or cleaning or something like that. I know not everyone is that lucky to have such a place but I don't have a basement in my house as many people do and they can designate that as a cropping place. Several weeks ago, I did 19 pages in a mommy day. Since I am a fairly new scrapper I am having to try to play catch up. My goal is to get a theme or pack of pic done everytime I at it. Example. this yrs vacation. I am so lucky to have a husband that is supportive of my hobby job and hobby. It takes alot to raise 3 wild boys today! I never got my wish to get a baby girl so someday I am hoping for granddaughters to share scrapping with!!!

Almost always I scrap at night. Sometimes I do it in the morning (which is more like afternoon since that's when I wake up). I just scrap when I feel like it. So sometimes I scrap everyday for a week and then don't do it for two weeks. It just depends. Also I rarely get more than 4 pages done at a shot.

I too scrap at night - after I get the 3 children to bed. Now that school will be starting soon they will go to bed eariler-and I will be more alert and hopefully creative to roll out some pages.

I definately am a late night scrapper. I work on my paper piecings in the evening at the dining room table(my scrappin'spot). I usually wait until everyone is in bed or off to school to actually do an album page. I am a late nighter so my brain seems to work better after everyone else is sleeping.

I have a 40 minute train commute to work 5 days a week. It is on the train that I read my sb magazines and idea books and get my best ideas for future layouts. As for when I do my best actual work I would have to say it would be on weekends.

Right now I am reading Becky Higgins Scrapbooking Secrets. If you haven't already purchased it, definately do so!

I find that I'm at my best in the evening, usually on the weekend. Every once in awhile, I'll get a creative streak in afternoon, or early evening.

I agree with Monet1390...the new BH book is a MUST! if you don't have it, you need to get it! I have gotten so many new ideas, and can't wait to apply them to my new book I'm doing.

I scrap at night as well. As soon as the boys are in bed, it's downstairs to scrap and watch stupid shows that I've seen a million times on TV. (at least in the summer)
Oddly enough, because I've been soing this for so long, I rarelly even consider scrapping during the day when I have the chance(like nap time). Lately I've not felt creative, inspired or anything at all. I seem do be in a slump and it's less about being uninspired than it is about taking on to much and I feel like I've got to get going or I won't have these extra albums done in time. And because I feel like that, I don't feel like doing anything. So for now I'll just lay off until I get that "calling" again from my scrap table.

i guess im normal after all...i do most of my scrapbooking at night too after my 3 kiddos(11,8 and just turned 3) are in bed. it seams thats when most of you all do yours too. the only time i work earlier in the day is if i goto a crop or something like that unless i just get one of those cant wait ideas that i have to get on the book before i lose it. my husband teases me about 9:00 being the scrapbook bewitching hour..he says that 9:00 is when i hear my scrapbooking room call and off i go. im glad to see im not the only one.

I do most of my scrapbooking in the evening after dinner is cleaned up. I probably start around 8:00 and before I know it - it's 11:00 and time for bed.

Sometimes I can get 4 or 5 pages done in that time. Sometimes I spend the whole time searching for an idea or organizing or sorting through pictures. It depends on my creativity level that night. I think it's hormones, but I can't prove it

I am the most creative when the sink is piled with dishes, laundry is waiting to be done, the floor is in need of vacuuming and we have company coming.

When I have the time to sb my creative juices have dried up.
