Welcome to the New Layouts and Cards for the month of December . We would also love to see any other project, photo or imported images you'd like to share with the group.

The rules for this thread are simple: Post a newly uploaded layout, card or project, get comments and give comments on everyone's pages. No "drop and runs" please. If you get love be kind enough to give love back. Since there are several people here try not to flood the post with too many LOs or cards. Maybe 5-7 in any post and no daily limit. Follow SB.com instructions for downloading and linking your projects.

Come by and join the fun! This thread has gained a fairly regular following. We enjoy seeing new people come by to share their work and join in the fun! You can join in at any time. Just remember that it is more fun if you give love and get love too!

While this is a laid back community of artists and crafts people sharing their work and support, it's not a place to just drop off work and not visit the galleries of others in the thread. We encourage you to enjoy all the marvelous talent and leave comments! Should you encounter a problem with another poster in this thread, please PM them directly to ask your question or resolve your issue. The hostesses are not referees and can't step in the middle for you.

This is a collaborative effort. We are rotating the job of hosting the thread. Included in the opening post is the schedule of hostesses over the next couple months. Please volunteer as its the easiest job you will ever have

    Good Afternoon,,
No sun, temperatures are dropping, lt. rain which will turn to snow around 4pm, just an ugh day weather wise. Did go to Kroger's for a few things, that was it. Now home, puppy taken out, fed, and I need to put things away and get Christmas items out.

Anna thank you for doing November's posts and Terry thanks for getting us to December. In spite of the virus, this year as flown by. I sure hope that 2021 will be nicer to all of us.

Cheryl that was nice that your dd helped with cooking the turkey. Glad you were able to have time with Zoey and Zeke. I can understand how hard this holiday season is for you, but maybe your dd can help you put the tree up and decorate it, and you can reflect on all the special ornaments that you have put up through many years. Did you get your carpet installed?

Terry your day yesterday sounds so busy. I bet all the Christmas cards that your making are so pretty. My problem is, well I wait too long to start, I have an idea, try it and it doesn't work good so get discouraged and stop trying. Am way too critical of the work I attempt to do. Money for Christmas is good especially when one has no idea of what they want or want way too expensive gifts. I purchased several gift cards at Kroger's today so they work good too.

Cathe we are having turkey tonight, last night we had spaghetti so trying to not get into going easy and always getting a package of frozen turkey out. Ugh on a colonoscopy. The test itself is not bad but the prep before, ick. This year they let me do the box test you do at home and send it in, due to the fact the dr. was afraid drinking all the stuff would play havoc with my tummy. Now if that test came back with a problem, then would have to have the full test. Did you get the snowman up yet in the yard? Bob just about finished decorating outside but we have two angels that light up that he puts on each side of the front steps, one did not light and he worked on it, noticed it was in the garage this morning still.

Danielle glad you got some of your decorations up and that is nice you ordered the ring system.

No Ashley again, hope your o.k. How was Thanksgiving for you?

    Katy how was your Thanksgiving?

Denise back to school for the littles today?

Anna hope your work week goes well. Will you get any snow? I think we will just have a dusty, it has been too warm for the roads to be covered, hopefully as I don't roll if snow is on the road with all the hills.

Better get going, things won't get done on their own (lol). Have a good Monday, be safe.

Hi...Things have been rocky here to say the least. The numbers are getting bad again, the city is threatening to lock down, and my mother is just going crazier and crazier. Thanksgiving didn't really happen because she was so heartbroken my sister and her husband couldn't come over and she's refusing to put up any Christmas trees because we can't have Christmas without my sister and her husband here. I did confront her on that...pointing out that I'm still here...and that was the WORST thing I could do because she went off on me big time. This just makes me dislike this season more than I normally do. The only thing I'm looking forward to is the Doctor Who Holiday Special on New Year's Day. At least that's a Doctor we can all trust.
  • OnlyJane
    Good Tuesday morning,
Burr it is cold out for us 30, tonight it is suppose to go down to 21. Am staying in, it is bad enough when having to take Baxter outside, and even he wants to come back in quickly.

Ashley so sorry things are still crazy at your house. Why in the world does your Mom act like this, she can facetime anytime she wants with your sister. Don't the rest of the people in your house have a right to try and have some happiness at holiday time. Thank goodness you love to read because you can just escape, same with watching movies. Numbers are going up everywhere it seems, just a mess everywhere, but are we being told the truth on the numbers? Will you get to see Joe over Christmas, meet up, go for a walk? Dr. Who, one you can trust, like that. I sure do not care for Dr. Fuci, he changes his mind too much. Hugs to you!!!!

Cathe did you get your Covid test?

Will check back to see who else checks in, everyone is busy as can be this time of the year.

    Bye, be safe!!!

  • Cdjohnson
Good morning!! I am working from home today. I worked the COVID unit yesterday as a secretary, and it was busy!! Thankfully, we were able to discharge several and there were not a lot of COVID patients in the ER. We are expecting numbers to increase in about 2 weeks because of people getting together for Thanksgiving. It is sad seeing family members request a video visit just so they can say goodbye and see their loved one once more before they die. It is just heartbreaking. No one should have to die alone!!

I am going to attempt to get my Christmas tree and decorations down from the attic in the garage and put them up tonight. I am rethinking how I have decorated in the past. I have over 100 snowmen. I am thinking of totally cleaning out my china cabinet and putting a lot of my snowmen in there. I always put snowmen in my bay window. I try to do light up things that can be seen from the road. Zoey and Zeke would really like me to put up outside lights and blow up stuff. I never have been big on that and probably will not do it. I might string a few lights across the bay window outside. Nothing outside will happen today or tonight as it is only around 40 degrees today.

Ashley - I am sorry it is so crazy at your house. Hopefully, you and Joe can make your own traditions and you will be able to enjoy the holidays in years to come.

Jane - Poor Baxter!! Elmo doesn't like the cold either. He does have a Christmas sweater I can put on him but he is not very fond of it.
  • Southernlady2
    hello and good morning

well it is really cold here this morning. Took Bella for her walk this mooring. i am Waite for my jacket i bought Bella awhile ago. she is fine with the cold here. sometimes when i open the back sliding door she look outside and just stand there and i think she say no i am not going outside right now. well today going to the gym later on and then i need to go to Ace to get a batter for my clicker for my outside lights. my husband going to try to get off work early that way he can finish the rest of the lights on the house. later on we will buy some Carma to put around the house.

hope everyone has a nice Tuesday
  • Terry0773
Morning--cold and frosty here! I have to go into the dr for my scheduled diabetic check and then I'll run 2 errands. Otherwise I'm back home coloring gnomes!! That's fun and therapeutic for me.

Anna: are you getting cold weather now too? Hope your weekend went well.
Ashley: Hugs hugs & more hugs!!! Anything I can say will not help you and I'm so sorry for that and all you are going thru. But I will say that I want you to put up your tree in your room. Even if its the tree made from books or your little Disney tree. Do something that makes you happy and forget what your mom is doing. And see Joe and celebrate with him!!!
Cathe: What day was the procedure? I will need one next year too. I have to remind myself that its simpler to do that than to have cancer. Have any plans?
Cheryl: My enthusiasm for Christmas has gone way down since the little ones are little anymore and half my crew is is MN. I still do enjoy the process of Christmas just not as much. It would be fun for you to have the kids decorate something. I saw that type of thing on the first episode of Chicago Med where a mom had to say goodbye to her hubby. OMG, it made me cry . I just can't imagine....
Danielle: great news you got up all the decorations!! Our labs love the cold weather and romp and play like crazy. Cricket loved the snow last year but she does hate the rain!
Denise: everyone back in school? How many cookies do you bake???? Grandma's pizzelle recipe makes 12 doz cookies!!! I used to sit in front of the stove with the pizzelle iron and turn them. Thankfully someone invented an electric one.
Jane: We don't do outside decor or I would have to do that myself too. Plus I don't have storage room for all that! I did however just finished shopping --all online stuff. I still need to decorate the house and get that done so I will feel in the mood.

Best get going and ready to leave. BBL
  • Scrappin 2
Good morning!! Sorry I skipped out yesterday.
Why? Well I had to get the Covid test at 11:00. I wanted to go to Home Goods before that. The earlier you get out, the less people there are. I had to take back the lighted make-up mirror as it didn't work. I have had it for months and finally put batteries in it and voila --it didn't work. So I left the house at 9:45 and that's why I didn't get in here.
Then in the afternoon I worked on Christmas cards.
Plus I started my prep for the colonoscopy on Thursday. Only I goofed up. I was supposed to start Miralax and took the laxative pill instead. So you know where I was throughout the afternoon.

Danielle- I really would like ring or a security camera. Rum doesn't think we need it. We are lucky,,,so far,,,,we live outside the city and people don't know we are out here.
Sorry your blow up things aren't working.

Ashley- So sorry things got worse with your mom..........hugs.........you can count on us to listen and send virtual hugs. Hang in there. The vaccines are coming.

Terry- hope your check up goes well.
Have fun coloring the gnomes. Christmases do change when the Grandkids are no longer little or move away. That's when I try to remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Jane- I saw on the weather last night that you and Anna (I think) are going to get very nasty weather.
I had the covid test, It wasn't as bad as I anticipated. Maybe thinking it was going to be awful helped me when the time came and it wasn't bad. The nurse administering it was really nice. The nurse said I might not hear about the results. ...........and no news is good news.

It was reported there were over 6,000 new cases of Covid in Illinois yesterday. Of course all those positives doesn't mean all those people are sick.
It is so sad to know people are counting on facetime to say good-bye. I am really afraid of catching it. Yet I did go into Home Goods and a very brief stop at Kohl's. Doug and Charity have no idea where they picked it up.

Cheryl- I hope you find some joy of the season. Good idea to switch things up and put the snowmen somewhere new. How do you string your lights to your inside window? I have not had much luck in the past. I would like to look at the command strips products but of course don't want to go to the big box stores.

Thank you Anna for taking care of the tread in Nov. and Terry thanks for moving us to December.

    Hellos to Katy, Denise, Anna
  • Southernlady2
i mailed everyone Christmas cards today.

Terry- we don't have all the decorations up outside yet. well Bella doesn't like the water when people had sprinkles on in the fall time.

Cathe- i always want to get the ring that way i can see who comes to are fornt door seen i don't have a peep hole on my door. we had a peep hole on are door in Vegas.
  • OnlyJane
Terry your beautiful Christmas Card arrived this afternoon. Thank you so much. Sent you a direct message.

Cathe glad the Covid test was not bad. Oh my on taking the wrong stuff first for your test. Do you not have to drink anything anymore? I remember having to consume 2 bottles of something horrible and then later in the day drinking some other icky stuff, I know you mixed it up in a rather large jug. That was when I went into the bathroom, kept drinking it and reading while it did its job. Glad you got to Home Goods, I like that store too. The sun tried to come out, but went right back in, and we are now getting some wind, that makes it worse when being out. Our numbers for the virus for yesterday went way up, over 400 for our county, never has been that high since this crude started. I just don't understand what is going on.

Cheryl glad you can work from home today. Your snowman collection sounds so neat! I have a few snowmen, but have lots of Precious Moments in a curio cabinet in the foyer. My neighbor across the street goes bonkers with blow ups for Halloween and Christmas. Each their own. Her grandkids use to love to decorate for her, but the last couple of years, most of the grandkids have gotten married and moved to different places. People from all over drive by her home to see everything.

Danielle I can see who comes to the door as it has leaded glass or I can look out the windows as they are on each side of the door. Does Bella bark when someone rings the doorbell? So far Baxter has not

Think we will have broccoli and cheddar soup for dinner tonight, along with rolls and fruit. Good weather for soup. It is from Kroger's in the deli section. They use to have a good potato soup but changed brands to Home Chef Farmhouse potato soup, it was awful, hope this is good.
  • Scrappin 2
    Late afternoon-- Tuesday

Terry- Thank you so much for your beautiful Christmas card. It is lovely. Rum liked it too..........hard to impress my guy when it comes to a card. LOL

Jane- yep I get to drink more stuff tomorrow and not eat!! At least you don't have to drink that whole jug of stuff anymore. .......at least here you don't. There seems to be different kinds of prep around the nation. I do have two bottles of something I am not looking forward to drinking.
We don't have Kroger stores here. Hope your soup was good.
It is so scary how the number keep going up. Of course they are blaming Thanksgiving get togethers.

Danielle- funny how Bella didn't like the sprinklers. Dogs are funny, guess that is what makes us love them so much.
We have a peep hole in our door, but the light is so bright coming through the hole that I can't look out. Plus I'm short and can't see who's out there anyway.

Ok going to go finish up my Christmas cards. They will be in the mail soon. ..........but don't hold your breath!

  • Terry0773
I'm back! As far as the check up went everything is the same, inc "lose weight and start exercising" lecture. But what Noel (our Dr) said was that the covid vaccines will be available starting in March and he has us as some of the first to take it. He also said that medical studies on Covid have suggested that people who have a low or deficient Vitamin D are more likely to get the virus and suffer highly from it. He suggests 2000 iu a day of D, which I already do. He also said most drs agree that Covid will not go away and even after the majority have the shot, there will still be outbreaks here & there.

I can't believe those cards are out there already!!!

Cathe: that's hysterical that Rum likes my card! And very sweet too! When I had the colonoscopy I only drank a gallon mixture once the day before and once the morning of the test. It really wasn't bad as I've heard. My problem was that I woke up just before the dr pulled out the scope! Shocked him when I said "I can feel that"!! He wanted to know why I still wasn't under...I blamed it on being a red head and the fact that anesthetic works strangely on me.

Jane: I wanted to take Emma and a friend to see the Portland Zoo lights. Well that isn't happening since they have changed it to a drive thru instead of walking and all the animals will be inside buildings. So you can have up to 6 people per car, no getting out or stopping (so how is the driver supposed to take photos?) and it costs $50 and you have to have an appointment to do it. So that went out the window!!

Danielle: our labs have always loved water---its what they do. Rivers, lakes, oceans, or ponds no matter the weather. However, if you turn on the garden hose they want to attack it. Why is beyond me as we've never hit them with one or sprayed them down, etc. Crazy!

Off to find supper---made soup last night so I'm assuming Steve wants something different. Maybe breakfast....

  • Rockmom
    Hello
I'm in Missouri so no school til next week. They will have 2 weeks then the holidays for 2 weeks.

Thank you for the threads each month ladies. I am grateful for you.

Sitting here watching TV and doodling. It's a safe place, a comfort to me, an enjoyment.

Getting a haircut tomorrow. The first in a long time. Then heading home Thursday. Had the garage door repairman out to fix the seals to keep out mice. Also had an appliance repairman to check the washer why it wasnt draining, I ordered a new pump. He also looked at the dishwasher because it has a small leak. He ordered a part for it too. Next time we come to Missouri he will come replace them. $400 to fix both.

Will watch the Curse of Oak Island. I love a mystery. Also Beyond Oak Island which comes on after.

I'll mail out my cards when I get back to Texas.

Oh, Cathe I waved at your daughter from the freeway as we drove past. Lol

I read an article by a researcher that said for 2020 the death rate did NOT change at all. It was based on a John's Hopkins study. That means covid-19 hasn't really contributed to higher death numbers for the year. I could go 9n qirh my opinion as to why that is but I'll just let the numbers speak instead.
  • DNA301
Hi! We're very short at work (not as short as the Chemistry department though, which is a first) so I had to take care of our entire CBC machine line alone today. It's not a very fun job but it's also not a very hard job as long as the machines behave themselves LOL! The only bad part was one of our slide making machines needed its waste container changed so I had to lug a 20 gallon container out of the machine and across the lab and none of the male techs would help me! Tomorrow, I think, we're doing names for the lab's Secret Santa...it's about as holiday-ish as we can get without offending anyone.

Jane- My mom is very, very, very upset that she can't see my sister at all and she's afraid she's going to miss the first few months after my sister has her baby. That's pretty much her priority right now and she doesn't at all care what the rest of us think. This whole thing has made her very selfish...And she does FaceTime with my sister several times a day, very loudly so it always sounds like they're in my bedroom even when they're two rooms over.

Cheryl- That's what they're saying here in NYC too....that they're expecting numbers to go up in two weeks because of people traveling for Thanksgiving. I read something like 70 million people traveled for the Thanksgiving holidays plus all the college students coming home. We're going to see another tremendous loss of life which is very, very, very sad.

Terry- I have a little tree on my desk that decorated today. It's for my Elf on a Shelf album which I currently can't print pictures for because I have no colored ink. How I have no colored ink is beyond me since I haven't used my printer all that much LOL! Since my mom's put a limit on Christmas shopping this year (as my sister and her husband won't be here to open gifts), I went ahead and bought gifts for myself. My mom probably won't like that but whatever.

Cathe- The CDC just released the list of vaccine priority and all medical workers (including lab techs) will be in the first group. I will be first in line from my lab to take the vaccine if it means I can worry just a little less about this insanity.

    Good morning!

Hard to believe it is December already.

Cathe, fingers crossed that your test is negative.

Terry, glad your dr appt went well. I get the same message....exercise and eat less.

Ashley, I just don't know what to say. Sending you hugs.

Jane, we got 1-2 inches of snow but the wind has been the real issue. We are only in the 20s right now and with the wind chill it is down to single digits. I am so over it already!

Denise, enjoy your visit in Missouri. Safe travels home.

Cheryl, such a sweet photo of Izzie under the tree. She sure has grown.

Danielle, what kind of ring did you get?

Our county is now considered a hot spot for Covid in our state. Our numbers are going up by 40-60 every day. Not sure what to expect in two weeks. I know these numbers are very low compared to the big cities but for our population it is a big deal here. I feel like we are all just sitting ducks waiting to see who is next to get it. Every time someone comes in my office I am doing a Clorox wipe down of the door and anything that person touches. So are the other two ladies. We had a lady in yesterday who just got out of quarantine...yesterday was day 2 of her negative test. She only had mild symptoms thankfully.

Cards.............I am really struggling with them. I have pinned a ton of cards hoping to find some mojo. I did try to start some cards but that is about it. I even ordered store bought cards and they haven't arrived yet so...............

  • Southernlady2
    Good morning!

well i got up early today again. last night around 12 am i my husband was snoring and i went to my other bedroom to sleep. well today go to the gym later one. i am going to meet some lady that want to buy one of my grab bags of ribbon. well my husband didn't come home early yesterday to finish the lights on the house. so i am guess we will do that this weekend just hope the weather nice and it is not ice on the roof where we need to finish the lights on. i am going to try this weekend is get are family pictures that way i can get them printed on Shutterfly and then start put them on my Christmas cards and put some of them in picture frames. i got my towels yesterday . now i need to mail out my grandma Christmas gift i have to wrap it up. this weekend i talk to my mom and see what she thinks if we should go down to see them for Christmas. if we do go it just be my parents and us.

Terry- i got your card yesterday. i am hope next summer is buy her little pool and try to get her to go in the water. she didn't like the hose water when i use to water plants. but she is a rescue dog. i know my dad dog that is the same as Bella and he loves going in the water. when i went one time with my dad to a little river he just put his hole body in this little river and create a dam. glad your dr appt went well.

Denise, enjoy your visit in Missouri. Safe travels home.

Cheryl, such a sweet photo of Izzie under the tree.

Ann- we got the ring 3. my husband look at both of them there was one that was catching on fire.

hope everyone has a nice Wednesday
  • Scrappin 2
    good morning!

Danielle- I hadn't heard that one of the rings caught fire. That's not good, sure hope that was recalled.

Denise- what a bummer to have the washer and dishwasher both needing repairs.
Hope you like your hair cut. Do you always go to Mo. for your hair cuts?
Rum is always saying that he wonders what the normal death rate is per day.

Ashley- no one would help you with the 20 lb container. how rude!! Glad you ordered yourself some gifts. I did that too. Rum doesn't like shopping and now with Covid I don't want him to go out. I saw Throngrill (sorry if it is spelled wrong) on FB. It made me happy to see him.........and you.

Anna- whatever type of card you get out will be fine. Don't stress over it.
I ruined two envelopes last night when addressing so I have to stamp on the front of a couple more.

Terry-Glad the doctor appointment went ok.
I heard that Vitamin D is supposed to help also with not getting the virus. My doc put me on it about a year ago so I guess I have that base covered.

Cheryl- that was a darling photo of Izzy under the Christmas tree.

Jane- Did you buy Aria's book for Christmas yet? If so what did you get?

Have a nice day ladies. I probably won't be in tomorrow. (colonoscopy). fingers crossed everything is ok up there!
  • Terry0773
Morning! Have nothing on the agenda for today except coloring. At some point I'll need to go to the grocery store but I'm not in any rush.

Anna: I can well imagine that having clients in your office would be cause for a wipe down. I would too!! Don't stress on the cards----whatever is ok with all of us!!
Ashley: So glad you decorated your room and are buying yourself presents!! There is no need for your mom to be this way and you deserve some happiness and peace. Maybe your Grandma wants her room decorated too???? Just curious, where is your Dad in all of this?
Cathe: Good luck with the procedure tomorrow!!! When I went to have chemo my oncologist did a comprehensive blood test and my vitamin D was in the danger zone. Almost zero. She gave me a 20,000 iu pill 3 times to boost it up to have chemo. I was also iron deficient and need to eat spinach every day plus a pill. So I've taken 2000 iu every day since of D.
Cheryl: I guess I need to go onto FB which I haven't in a week.
Danielle: Hoping you get the rest of the decor up. A ring caught fire? Not so good. I did see where someone had hacked into this guys ring and was watching his family for days. finally the hacker spoke to the family and said something really scary. Personally there are a lot of good reasons to have one and hopefully that one bad thing has been rectified.
Denise: Have a safe trip home! Glad you feel at peace there---we all certainly need a place like that. Steve was telling me about that study too where the death rate total per year has not changed overall due to Covid. It's all confusing and frustrating...
Jane: the one good thing about having a boy dog is they do not go into season, which all 3 of my females decided to do yesterday. Grrr...... I really want to have Cricket bred once but who knows.... Any plans today?
    Katy: how are things????

    I'm off to color....

Is Jeannie participating in the Christmas card exchange?
  • OnlyJane
    Good Wednesday afternoon,
Sunny but cold, was 27 to start this morning! Did manage to go out for a short time, looked quickly in Tuesday Morning, found a coat for Baxter, haven't tried it on him yet. There were two people outside of Tuesday Morning with a table set up and when they spoted you, wanted to ask a question, I don't know what they wanted, told them was short on time. That is the same line they ask at the Mall when trying to sell you soaps, etc., from a setup in the middle of the mall as you walk by.

Terry enjoy your coloring. I had heard about Vitamin D and do take it when remembering, must ramp it up and be sure to take it each day. So you used a stamp on your card, ok see I thought you used a stencil. So was that a white paste? It sure was pretty. That is interesting on the study about deaths due to Covid. Our county now is under a red alert, all benchmarks are red. We have 19 hospitals in and around us, only 8 beds remain that are ICU's. Regular beds are at 94% capacity, no one seems to know what is going on and they are claiming it will be over a week before we see results from Thanksgiving. What is going on?

Cathe good luck tomorrow on your test, I know you will be glad to have it over. Is your test early in the morning? I always try for 6AM check in.

Anna I would be wiping things down myself after people coming into the office. Your weather sounds cold like ours, looks like our lower temperatures will be around for a few more days. Don't worry about what cards to send, I have messed up one idea I tried, so will try another one and if that does not work, I have some store bought cards to send, it is the thought that counts.

Danielle I have not heard anything about a fire with some of the rings but not surprised as there are many products that have problems. Glad you got your towels. They are now, again, telling people not to travel for Christmas, but if you do, have a Covid test before you go and have another one when you get back.

Denise safe travels home. Glad you feel safe and happy being home. Did you grow up in this house? When growing up we moved so much that I really did not put down roots in any place, was happy though as long as Mom and Dad were there. After Bob and I married, bought our 1st house did finally feel this is home, then we bought a bigger home 5 miles away, it has been home and my safe zone.

Ashley, Secret Santa sounds nice, at least that is some holiday spirit. Glad you bought yourself some gifts, enjoy them. Call Joe, set up a meeting, exchange some gifts, enjoy, heck with what your Mom may think. Heard here in our state the vaccine would be given to health care workers and the people in long term care facilities first.

    Hi Cheryl and Katy!

We are getting take out tonight so that is good.

    here is something i made

    I'm So hungry!!

I was looking at all the beautiful handmade Christmas cards I have received in the past. I wish I had written the year on mine. There are fabulous cards in those 40. I am thinking of covering up who they are from and donating them to one of the nursing homes.

My cards are ready to go. Not sure when i will get them mailed though. I don't want to put them out for the mail carrier to take. That's a lot to ask of her.

Jane- I am sure not going out unless I really have to. That is really scary that only 8 beds are left!!!

Have a nice evening everyone. Stay healthy!

jane- i don't have a fire place in are house. i put the banner in my scrapbook room.

Hi! Today we were very short at the lab. Well, we're always short at the lab but today we were shorter than usual. I wound up having to stay an extra hour to help cover the third floor Stat lab. One of the people who called out, oddly enough, called out sick but today was her day off. I guess she forgot or something...maybe. Tomorrow, after work, my mom and I both have online Girl Scout Cookie Sale training. Girl Scouts is going ahead with cookie season this year and it's all going to be virtual so I figure I better know what to do since I'm my troop's tech support person LOL. Hopefully, they don't mind that I'm going to show up to training in my Baby Yoda/The Child pajamas.

Anna- Thanks for the hugs. Hugs are always appreciated.

Cathe- My mom wasn't happy with me buying myself gifts but she's not really doing gifts this year so I bought myself stuff. I did convince her to buy me the rest of this book series called "The Stormlight Archives" by Brandon Sanderson. I read the first book and it was so good that I want to read the rest of the series LOL. Thorongil and I are going to try and have some adventures as best we can given the situation. I'm waiting to get colored ink to do layouts in my December Daily.

Terry- My grandmother doesn't want her room decorated at all. She's as upset as my mother about my sister not being able to come over. My grandmother has made absolutely no bones about my sister being her favorite out of the two of us. My dad kind of stays out of things. He spends a lot of time watching Hallmark Christmas movies in his bedroom and playing on his computer. He's learned to just stay out of my mom's way when she gets crazy.

Jane- A lot of the people in my lab are not willing to take the vaccine but a few of us are. We all agreed to go together to take our vaccines so, if we all call out, everyone knows why. We use a site called Elfster for Secret Santa...it randomly assigns people (so no one can say favorites were played) and you can make a wishlist. I got a person who has a very extensive wishlist LOL!
  • Terry0773
I have 1 card left to color and then I can put all of them together and be done! I am having fun and coloring is so calming to me. Revert to childhood I guess.

Anna: hoping you are having a good week at work.
Ashley: Keep up the Christmas things that make you feel good and forget the nasty craziness and what your mom wants everyone involved in. If it make you feel normal and gives you pleasure do it, including buying gifts for your family no matter what your mom says. It's your Christmas too. I swear that there is an app for everything!!! Elfster, huh???? makes me laugh...
Cathe: Sometime last month Katy did say that Jeannie wanted in on the card exchange. So yes.... Hope your procedure today was easy and all is well! I've kept several cards every year and I use them to decorate my kitchen shelves. (the open ones) I'm glad I started doing it as I have the last card Mom sent to me with her special message, another from my older cousin who is like my big sister, and several from all of you guy as you mean so much to me.
Cheryl: have you ever gotten the carpet down and furniture delivered?
Danielle: cute banner! Are you painting a new Christmas sign this year?
Denise: Hope your trip home is safe. What happens to the littles school when you are gone?
Jane: glad you got out! I don't know what is going on over there with both your county/city and Anna's too. My friend/doctor told me that their business (5 doctors)is struggling and they really should eliminate some staff. People are not going to see their dr or have procedures done. He also said they cancelled Humana ins group as it wasn't paying for some reason. And here anyway there are 4 more large medical groups that no longer accept Humana ins. Times are getting tough and its so sad. I'm praying for the day when we can go mask-free as I struggle with that thing every time I wear one. I've had several people that I don't know just walk up to me and attack. "You have to wear that mask on your nose!" Uh...no....I have breathing problems. I've gotten where I either walk away or I get mad and call them mask Nazis. I hate being like that but I won't be pushed or bullied either. What has become of us as a society???? Sorry...I'll get off my rant now.
    Katy: How's your week going?

Had a horrible dream last night that my DS#1 asked me to lend him $50,000.00. I said no and ended up with him walking away never to speak to me again. Now What the heck brought on that dream???

Off to color and be calm....

Good morning!! Another work at home day away from the COVID floor. I worked up there yesterday and it was not quite as bad as it has been. I just found out this morning through a work email that the hospital is giving all full time employees a $250 bonus and it will be in our banks tomorrow!! I might just treat myself to something but not sure what. It might just be a new dishwasher sine mine has decided to not work!! Just wanted to check in really quick.

Ashley - I can't decide whether I really want to take the vaccine or wait a bit on it. Of course, our bedside nurses will get the first opportunity. I am so sorry that your family treats you differently than your sister. Will you and Joe get to spend any time together during the holiday?

Danielle - Love your Christmas banner.

Cathe - I haven't put lights up outside in years. I am not sure if I am going to do it or not. I did put some light up snowmen in the bay window. That may be all the "lighting" my yard gets. Of course, Zoey would love me to get the big blow up stuff, but I am not a fan. Every night when I take them home we have to drive slowly past all the houses with lights. Zeke loves the lights too.

Terry - Even if I was here by myself, I would probably put up my tree and put out the snowman. It has just been really hard to do it this year. Zoey, Zeke and Priscilla are going to put up a tree of their own in her bedroom Saturday when they come over. We are going to get them earlier in the day this Saturday so there will be plenty of time. They have each already painted two ornaments to hang on the tree.

Anna - Yes, Izzy is growing like a weed. She loves the lights on the tree! I couldn't resist putting her under their for a photo.
  • OnlyJane
Good afternoon, Thursday 12/03/20 - Sunny, 38 so far, does not feel too bad when going outside. The hospitals around here are in panic mode and some are getting regular rooms ready for Covid patients. They have to do something with the ventilation so they match how the air is distributed in ICU rooms. The health department is so worried about what the numbers will be when Thanksgiving numbers come in, which I think may start next week.

Cheryl how nice you get a bonus. Not sure if I want to take the vaccine quickly if it is offered. Like to hear about results, but then again will we be told the truth, sure can not trust media. That is cute how Zoey and Zeke love to see the lights on different houses and places. That is nice that your dd is putting up a tree in her bedroom for them to help decorate. Our tree will go up this weekend and be partially decorated, lower part nope due to Baxter and his chewing everything in sight. He has lost some of his baby teeth and new teeth have erupted so he is going strong.

Ashley using a site to do names for Secret Santa sounds like a good idea. Do you buy 1 gift or small gifts for x number of days? Things like crazy pattern socks, etc. Maybe this year fancy masks? I just had to say that (lol). Glad you convinced your Mom to buy the series of the book's author that you like, at least that is a start, maybe she will calm down some. Do you have any more time off days that you have to take before the year's end?

Terry maybe I should start to color, perhaps that would help me relax some. Maybe your dream had to do with giving your older son money for Christmas along with his family members? That is interesting about Humana Insurance in your area, have not heard anything on them around here, we have Humana for drugs and will again, as far as I know for next year, they did increase the price by $3,00 a month. No telling how insurance will go with Biden bringing back everything Obama did, I think it will be a long, nasty 4 years. How has Steve been feeling these days, much better I hope.

Cathe hope your test is over, all is well, and your home resting. When I have that test or the endocscopy one, tend to doze off for awhile.

Danielle that is nice that you put the banner in your scrap room. Did you sell all the craft supplies that you wanted to?

Denise you must be on your way home and have already arrived.

Anna is your weather warming up? We are suppose to have rain sometime tomorrow, I think our highs may reach 50.

Katy did you get all your Christmas shopping finished?

Time to go and see what can get done around here, house is a mess and I never realized how much time it takes when you have a puppy to deal with a puppy....

  • Southernlady2
    hello good afternoon

Terry- no i am not paint any sign this year i have enough. one outside and one inside. i want this sign that i saw at the place i buy the stencils it was a cute little sign for the laundry room but i don't think they will ship this. this store in my town but they are only open Thursday Friday and Saturday. i just don't want to go to that store because that in are big city and CLVD count is up in that city and i don't want to go.

Cheryl how nice you get a bonus.

Jane- i think it was yesterday i had this little stuff animal on my tree and was in another room and Bella got it from the tree i think it was low enought for her to grab it and tear it up. i think she though it was a stuff toy. so i been watch her with are Christmas tree. when i saw that she tear this stuff ornament i told her that she bad and hit her. she sniff the tree ever so often. nope i didn't sell everything yet.

Cathe hope your test is over, all is well, and your home resting

well this morning went for are walk. then i went to work out at the gym. nothing much going on here.

I somehow have lost our list of addresses. I could have sworn I had it saved here in a direct message but it is not here. Can someone please send me the list in a direct message on here? I need to get my cards mailed out.
  • DNA301
Hi! Today my mom and I (on separate computers in separate rooms) did our online Girl Scout cookie training. There were like 300+ leaders at the meeting and I was bored so I sat and played Animal Crossing on my Nintendo Switch under my desk while listening to what was going on. They're actually expecting the girls to go out and physically sell cookies despite the whole, ya know, pandemic going on! My mom is planning on telling our troops to only do the digital sale and not go out to sell cookies because it's unsafe. This time I'm inclined to agree with her and I usually don't agree with her craziness lately.

Terry- YUP! There's a website called Elfster that we use for Secret Santa at work. The best part is that you can make a wish list on the site so if the person that has you doesn't know you well, they can just get you something from your wish list...or you can just get something you like from whoever has your name. The list I have up looks like a crazy child put it together since it's pretty much just Disney/Alice in Wonderland, Marvel, and Star Wars things.

Cheryl- My job gave us two $1250 bonuses during April and May but they added them on to our normal checks so some people who do lots of overtime saw very little of their bonus money because it was taken out in taxes. I used on of my bonuses to buy my Nintendo Switch which turned out to be the best thing I've bought in a long time. I'm not sure if I'll get to see Joe around Christmas. I'm hoping to be able to but I'm not sure.

Jane- We just have to get one gift, worth $35, for our Secret Santa. The person running it wanted each of us to leave it on the bench where that person is working in the morning but our spots get shifted so often that's probably not going to work. I'm on vacation the week of December 14th. We'd planned on going wedding dress shopping but I never made the appointment since I'm waiting to see if the city closes down again.
  • Southernlady2
i sent you the address of the list

    hello and good morning

well today going to the grocery store day today. well it cold here in the morning. i take Bella for her walk here and i buddle up really good. i need to talk to my parents to see what they will say about us come out there. If we do i quartan in the house won't go out place before we go. i am so crave right now is a see's Bordeaux. i usually get that for Christmas time but i am wonder if i order that will the candy melt if they shipped it. i had a bad migrain last night i hate them. i need to ship out my grandma christmas gift.

Cathe glad your colonoscopy is over. Hope your lab report is a good one

hope everyone has a nice Friday
  • Scrappin 2
    Good morning!!

So glad that colonoscopy is over. The prep is awful. Maybe I'm a wuz.
I hardly remember getting dressed afterward or the ride home. I slept 4 hours when I got home and then made myself get up.
I had 3 polyps--hopefully the labs come back ok on them. My inners still are upset today. UGH.

Terry- Put a sticker on yourself saying you have a medical condition and can't put the mask over your nose.
Dreams are just plain weird. It is probably better we don't know why we had a particular dream.

Jane- Having Baxter is just like having a toddler!!
Interesting about Humana. Your insurance went up $3,00 a month??? that's outrageous!! So sorry for you.

Cheryl- Yay on the bonus. It sure came in the nick of time with the dishwasher going out.
We couldn't have those blow up lawn things. Ours would always need blowing up, I'm sure.
When we were kids driving around looking at lights was the thing to do. I still like to do that.

Ashley- I would love to have gotten you as my Secret Santa person. You have fun stuff on your list. The teachers and staff used to do the Secret Santa at school. I had fun doing it. Some people were better at it than others. We did it for a week and could pull pranks on the person--like wrapping their desk in tp---harmless funny things.

Danielle- poor Bella thinking that tree ornament belonged to her and then getting in trouble.

I talk big, but if I really get the Christmas cards to a nursing home I'll be very surprised.
Denise- I will keep the card with the button that was your Grandma's. I love that button.
Heck I don't think I can part with any of the cards.

Hello to all who haven't checked in.
    Have a good day everyone.

  • OnlyJane
    Good morning, Friday. December 4th
Light rain is falling, 43 and gloomy, guess this will be the weather for the whole day. Should get me going on doing some Christmas decorations, cards, etc., I sure talk good, need to put it in action (lol).
Cathe glad your colonoscopy is over. Hope your lab report is a good one. Our Humana drug insurance did go up $3.00 a month and I am not really complaining it could be worse, it just seems like everything is going up, food, utilities, car insurance, there really isn't much you can do about it. We like to take a drive through some of the subdivisions to see the lights. When the boys were little we use to go to Christmas Eve Mass geared for the children, and after drive around seeing the homes all decorated, etc. Great memories! Hope you feel better before the day is over. Some medical tests can really play havoc on one's system.
Danielle hope you can decide on what your doing for Christmas. I read somewhere if you plan on traveling for Christmas you should have a Covid test before going and have one when coming back home. Poor Bella on the ornament, I would never hit my dog, I would give him maybe a stern "No".
Ashley that secret Santa does sound neat. Hope you get something neat! Glad you had your cookie training. Why would they encourage in person selling? The local Boy/Girl Scouting Council has put out info on camp outs, etc., not sure on attendance, but right after Thanksgiving break they put out a notice that the Council office would be closed all this week out of an abundance of caution. In other words, someone had the virus. This is about the 3rd time they did this. Our beautiful movie theater is still closed, they had just redid the lobby, etc., while on the first lockdown, now they laid all workers off. so sad. Anyway, glad you have some more vacation time. How is your writing coming along?

Will check back, now to go and do some Christmas stuff....
    Have a nice day everyone!
  • Terry0773
Morning! It is so crystal clear here but there's enough frost on everything to look like it snowed. The bike is coming today --surprise! Wasn't supposed to until Dec 17. I have a quick grocery run to do and that's it today. About 3:30AM Cricket scared the bejeesus out of us by howling ---loud & long. Then she laid back down and slept!!!

Ashley: The Secret Santa does sound like fun! Do you get to find out who bought it after its unwrapped? That is crazy to tell the GS to go door to door. Not in this climate and situation. How cool you got bonuses!!
Cathe: I hope you feel better sometime today! When I had mine, we left the surgical unit and I told Steve to find the nearest Starbucks! I had 2 polyps but they weren't cancer. I look around when I'm out and there are more people with masks under their noses than on the nose. So I'm not the only one. Costco has a rule now that no medical excuses at all. Wear a mask or go home!
Cheryl: did the addresses from Danielle come thru? If not I'll send them to you too.... SB had an overhaul thing many months ago and we all lost stuff.
Danielle: I do hope you get to go home to see your parents at Christmas. If everyone has a test it should be fine. Candy will ship without any melting.
And thank you for the xmas card as it came yesterday.
Jane: Out here there's the zoo lights which were walk thru but now with the virus its only driving. There are ships and boats that cruise up & down the Columbia Rvr that has been decorated with lights. They do not run every day tho. And the last one is this huge block of lit houses that go all out. Again you walked thru it but finding parking was a disaster. I've lived here 35 yrs and not seen any of these things. Horrible Mr Scrooge wouldn't dream of doing that stuff. I remember going to Christmas mass and then off to Grandma's (the Italian one) where supper consisted of 13 courses and not an iota of meat. The courses was an old Italian tradition---one course for Jesus and 12 courses for the Apostles. My word there were over 47 people at the dinner the last time I got to go. Baccala (herring), Squid soup, Winter spaghetti, and on and on. Mom couldn't go until much later in the night as she was allergic to fish. I cannot imagine what Grandma would think about all this quarantine virus stuff.

Hi Denise & Katy & Anna!!
  • Scrappin 2
I felt pretty good today. I had a nap this afternoon. thanks for all your well wishes.

I'm ticked. I got a sweater for Nev from American Eagle on Black Friday. it was free shipping. The sweater came and I know it is going to be too large. Today I tried ordering a smaller size and there is $7 shipping. Oh what to do, what to do.

Terry- your heritage is so interesting. You should scrap or journal the stories you tell us.

In 7th and 8th grades we sang and paraded through the church for Midnight Mass. It was so cool. There was a tunnel between the school and church and we'd start singing' Angels we have heard on High' when we were still in the tunnel. So the people in church could hear us faintly and then it would get louder and louder. We wore beautiful light blue satin robes. Now the school is gone. --demolished. The church is still operating. There were 4 Catholic churches in the small town of about 12,000. Now they have combined into one. --the one I went to---but they changed the name so there were no hurt feelings about joining the others churches to St. Stephen's. Of course people were furious. LOL

Rum went to Sam's. Spent a lot of money. we have one of their huge pizza's for dinner. I am going to freeze half of it.

    have a nice evening.

    Good morning!

It has been a crazy busy week. First Christmas get together of the season, got a new washer and dryer, a new cat showed up on my door step, vehicle issues, just to name a few things going on. Will get caught up over the weekend sometime.

Terry and Danielle, thanks so much for the beautiful cards! I always display the cards from you all on a table in the living room where everyone can see them. In fact, I have all of the cards I have received from you all....they are treasured.

Cathe, fingers crossed for good results!

    Have a great day!
  • Scrappin 2
    Good morning!!

Anna- I wondered what was keeping you away!!
    Are you keeping the kitty?
Did you have trouble deciding on the brand of washer and dryer?

    Terry- What is winter spaghetti?

Doug, Charity Van and Ozzie (the Granddog) are coming today for dinner. It has been a month since they have been here. Van is going to help decorate the Christmas tree. Maybe we will play the game of Life like we used to. I have to remember tho' that he is in high school now and might not want to play anymore.

Dang companies--I happened to be on Target website and the jacket I got Nev was now $12 cheaper!! So I ordered another one. BUT of course I can't put my hands on the receipt or order information for the first one. I know I wouldn't have thrown out any bag with any URL's or markings on it. Of course if you'd see the chair in my bedroom you'd know why I can't find the thing. It is on my agenda to clean that off, stack the presents that have arrived from Target and Amazon and American Eagle and wherever. LOL

    Have a nice day everyone.
  • OnlyJane
Good Saturday morning, sunny and 39 at 9:35AM
So nice to see the sun, makes one feel so much better. Been up since 5:30AM and so far have taken Baxter out 2 times, fed him, had breakfast, read paper, made the bed, got dressed, put some things away and thinking of what to buy for the boys since no one has given me a list and have asked twice. The girls are fairly easy but only one gave me a few ideas.

Cathe how nice Doug, Charity and Van are coming to dinner and Van will help you decorate the tree. That should help lift your spirits! We have a chair in our bedroom also and guess who uses it as a place to put their clothes instead of hanging them up? Not me......I get so tired of seeing the chair messy. Would Target not honor the lower price by making an adjustment on the jacket that you just bought for full price? Some stores will. Hate when I can't find a receipt, and it happens often.

Anna wow sounds like your week was really busy. What brand washer and dryer did you get? Vehicle problems, ugh!! I heard we may have snow showers on Monday, guess the cold is going to stay around for awhile.

Terry, wow on a 13 course dinner, that must have been awesome to be part of, although not sure about squid soup, yikes. That is too bad Steve doesn't care that much for Christmas. We have a cousin who is not fond of the holiday either. It will be different this year but hopefully next year we will be back to what Christmas was like for all of us before the virus. Once again this year though they are decorating the local baseball stadium with Christmas lights, etc., you drive thru, forget how much a car load is but most of it goes to a charity. I was reading that in Pigeon Forge they shut down the trolley transportation along with trams due to the virus of their transportation dept. and won't operate them again until Dec. 16th, wow people will be disappointed.

Danielle did you decide yet if you will visit your parents?

Hope everyone is having a good Saturday as no doubt everyone is really busy right now. Stay safe!!!
  • Cdjohnson
Good morning!! Zoey and Zeke are coming over at 11:00 today and will spending the night. We have everything ready for them to put up a tree and decorate it in Priscilla's room. It is going to be a LONG day!!

Terry - Danielle sent me a list and so did Cathy but 3 of the addresses are different on their lists. Denise, Danielle and Katy. Can you send me the most current list?
  • Southernlady2

    Morning ladies!

Hope you all are having a great weekend. Weather is cold but sunny. Chance of snow tonight into tomorrow.

Our Covid numbers continue to rise. It just doesn't seem to be letting up here at all. County is in a big uproar about shutting down. Some want it and some don't. We now have to wear a mask at all times at work. And if we have a shield we have to wear them along with the mask. Many want the schools shut down until spring and just as many don't so it is becoming quite ugly here with some people. I see both sides but just so thankful I am not having to deal with the school system and work. I have several cousins who teach and they are so stressed and concerned about their students and their own kids and families too.

Our work group had their annual Christmas dinner on the 1st. The insurance company likes to start out the holiday with their catered dinner. They gave away a lot of nice gifts and gift cards and the games were lots of fun so overall it was good. Our other friends that host an annual party every year have decided not to do it this year because of Covid. We will miss it because of the good fellowship, food, games, and prizes. And our annual cousin reunion which should have been yesterday was cancelled due to Covid. We all will miss that gathering but hopefully we can all be together next year. I'm guessing the work dinner is pretty much the extent of my holiday parties.

It was Bucky's vehicle that had issues. His work truck is a 2010 model with almost 200,000 miles on it. The local Ford dealership had to order the parts and then get them replaced. My washer has been having issues for the last six months but when the noise started we decided it was time. I bought another Maytag set. I've always had Maytag and have always had long term success with them. And then a little kitten shows up over Thanksgiving. It looks so much like our cat that died and, of course, we both went gaga over it. It came with an injured paw which continued to swell. So we took it to the vet and the paw has an infection. So there was another expense and yes we are going to keep the kitty. None of these expenses are part of our unemployment budget! For those of you who pray, please pray that Bucky finds a job soon. This is the longest he's ever been without a job and the mental stress from this is starting to get to him. He has applied for several jobs and was rejected for each and we know that much younger men were hired so that weighs heavily on him. TIA!

Cheryl, hope the grands had fun decorating the tree. They seemed pretty cozy on your new couch!

Danielle, I sure hope you get to see your parents this Christmas.

Cathe, glad Doug and family have recovered from Covid and are able to get to on with their life. Hope you all enjoyed your meal.

Terry, I could not survive a 13 course meal. I would be so stuffed and have indigestion so bad!

Jane, our weather on Friday was rainy and cold with a mix snow flurries. It warmed up a bit yesterday but this morning it is in the upper 20s with sunshine. And it sounds like it is going to be cold week ahead too.

Ashley, hope you are having a great weekend!

Make it a good one ladies!

Morning all... I finished 3 cards and now have 2 to go and the family will be taken care of. We finished putting the bike together, cleaned the kitchen, laundry, and cooked supper on the new Ninja grill/air fryer/etc. I think I'm going to love that little appliance! It was our 'together' gift which we do most Christmases.

Anna: I want that cup on your gif along with the hot choc inside it. I'm so sorry you are having to deal with all of that right now. It really does work on you mentally when job after job rejects you. You know then its just the age. I've gone thru it and I swear all I wanted to do was cry. My son lost his job last Jan and still hasn't found anything. His career and what he's done does not happen in MN. He is really depressed but he's also ignoring it and immersed himself in woodworking. I hope this changes for you both very soon!!! Poor kitten! Wonder if there was something deep down inside her foot that festered? Thankfully she found you!
Ashley: how are ya? Loved Thorongill in the tree. Who's his new friend?
Cathe: how was dinner last night?
Cheryl: how was the decorating the tree? Did the kids spend the night too?
Danielle: did you get the rest of the outside decor done?
Denise: How's life in your warm area of the country? Seems like we are all cold right now.
Jane: How is Baxter doing with the tree? I finally decided I had better get to decorating today or not do any at all. Talking to my BFF yesterday and knowing what her life is like right now, she's sad because she hasn't any time for Christmas or decorating or gifting or anything. I wish I was physically closer and I would help her or do it for her. Have any plans today?
Katy: Is Michael coming over this weekend?

    Have a wonderful Sunday! BBL...

    Good morning!!

I will watch Mass on tv to remind me to keep religion in my life and let me know it is Sunday.

I had such fun decorating the tree with Van. Charity helped too. Doug and Rum stayed on the porch watching football. I got some nice pictures.Charity, Van and I played Scattergories. I know Charity would rather sit on the porch and talk to Rum and Doug so I appreciate her playing. It was the most fun I've had in months! Van helped me find the regular emojiis on my phone. I could not find the thumbs up for the life of me.

Anna- Glad you reached out and asked for prayers for Bucky. I sure will do that.
I'm sure happy that you kept the kitty and fixed her up.

Jane-Girls are so much easier to shop for. There always seems to be things they'd like. Poor Nev her birthday is the 20th. ( Anna knows what THAT is like) So she always has a long, fun list.
You are getting cold weather and we are going to be above normal. ..........which is good because I will get out an walk.
Sun always makes me happier too.
One of the Grams said that I can return that jacket to Target without a receipt if I used my Target card, which I did.

It is unnerving when you start hearing about friends who know people who died in your town. For the longest time we knew no one who had it, well all that changed this fall. Now Charity knows a nurse who died, she was Doug's age. A friend of a friend died of it and now his wife is in the hospital.

    Well that was depressing............sorry.

    Have a nice day.

Good Morning, sun trying to come out through the fog
So foggy this morning, finally at 10:30 the fog is lifting. Hopefully today the Christmas Tree will be put up and Christmas Cards get done even if I stay up all night (lol). I just have to tune out distractions.

Danielle received your cute card yesterday afternoon, love the plaids and how you put the "Believe" in a frame, plus your sentiment was so nice, thank you.

Anna your weather sounds like ours. Sure hope Bucky can find a job, that has to be hard on him, age is not suppose to matter but we all know it does. So many times the employer hires the younger guy with zero experience over the guy with tons of experience and could get the job done correctly and faster, just so unfair. Aww on the kitty, he/she found the right door to sit by knowing you would help him/her. Your office party sounded nice. Too bad about your other events being cancelled. People are ugly in our county, too, over rules. Here our health dept. can issue rules which is good because our governor seems too laid back on making masks mandatory (another hot topic between people). So now we have commissioners who want to take away the health department's power. Let us hope that next year will be better for all of us and we will see the virus going away.

Cathe how was your tree decorating? Bet you enjoyed it.

Cheryl hope the grandkids had fun decorating the tree and doing other Christmas related things. Bet your tired this morning!

Need to go and start moving a few items so the tree can go up. Will try to check back later on to see who else has checked in.
Have a wonderful day everyone, stay safe.
