SB or Simple Stories - 6x8 albums

  • Tricia H.
Halp! I can't decide. I want to make a Europe vacation album, 6x8, and a wedding album, 6x8. We were married 18 yrs ago so a bit overdue. The Simple Stories snap binder (not flipbook) appeals to me, but the SB leather binders and pocket cards look great too!!

No one? Guess I'll just have to order a whole bunch of supplies on SB.com ! Darn!

Hi Tricia, just seeing this now I have soe of the Snap Binders (not the flipbooks - they don't appeal to me) and I have some leather binders which I love! The leather ones are definitely more sturdy. But make sure you order the right page protetors - not the flip book ones.

Hello! Thanks for responding. I think I'm just addicted to all things paper. So I'm going to get the Scrapbook.com Simple Album and wedding pocket cards, AND the Simple Stories Snap Binder and page protectors. Noted on the page protectors, I know you can't mix with the flipbooks. I really wanted the Scrapbook.com travel pocket cards, but they are sold out. Bummer.

Hi! I'm not all that familiar with those 2 types of albums. I don't like pocket page protectors type albums. I scrap too bulky for that. I actually tried that type of scrapbooking several years ago and told myself I would never do that again. I have made several mini albums and I prefer the Graphic 45 tag and pocket albums and the 49 & Market Foundations albums. I did our wedding album in a chipboard ring binder and regretted using the chipboard. After all these years the chipboard warped. I've seen several of the SS flip books on Pinterest and You Tube. I like the ones I've seen, but just not my style.

Ah, good to know on the chipboard. I went with the leather 6x8 binder for that. For the vacation, I'm going to try the chipboard. I'll check out the two you mentioned. I don't have a lot of time to get super creative so I was hoping this would be a good fit. Thank you!

The 2 I mentioned the pages are made with sturdy thick cardstock. They are listed in my gallery if you're interested.

Thanks KVRLVN! I went with one of each, and I love them both for their separate uses! I really like the price of the Simple Stories one, but the SB.com binder was absolutely perfect for my anniversary gift.
