  • Scrappin 2

Welcome to the New Layouts and Cards for the months of November and December. We would also love to see any other project, photo or imported images you'd like to share with the group.

The rules for this thread are simple: Post a newly uploaded layout, card or project, get comments and give comments on everyone's pages. No "drop and runs" please. If you get love be kind enough to give love back. Since there are several people here try not to flood the post with too many LOs or cards. Maybe 5-7 in any post and no daily limit. Follow SB.com instructions for downloading and linking your projects.

Come by and join the fun! This thread has gained a fairly regular following. We enjoy seeing new people come by to share their work and join in the fun! You can join in at any time. Just remember that it is more fun if you give love and get love too!

While this is a laid-back community of artists and crafts people sharing their work and support, it's not a place to just drop off work and not visit the galleries of others in the thread. We encourage you to enjoy all the marvelous talent and leave comments! Should you encounter a problem with another poster in this thread, please PM them directly to ask your question or resolve your issue. The hostesses are not referees and can't step in the middle for you.

This is a collaborative effort. We are rotating the job of hosting the thread. Included in the opening post is the schedule of hostesses over the next couple months. Please volunteer as it is the easiest job you will ever have

Morning! Moving slow, lots to do, and no motivation right now.

Cathe, thanks for hosting the next two months. Glad Casey and Oakley are feeling better. Sounds like you have been busy.

Terry, Brittany loved Barney! We even took her to see Barney and crew in concert. Thankfully, she never got into Sponge Bob which I can't stand.

Jane, all restaurants around had reopened to indoor dining except for one and they finally reopened last week. It was a Chinese restaurant. Mom and Dad are doing as well as they can right now. Thanks for asking.

Denise, hope Tim is improving and will get good news at his follow up.

Cheryl, your grands looked so cute in the Halloween costumes. Glad everyone is feeling better.

Danielle, sounds like you are all set for Thanksgiving. No clue what we are doing yet.

Judy, if you check in, I'm thinking of you!

    Hi Katy and Ashley!

Glad you all liked yesterday's image. I really liked it too.

    Have a good one!

  • Terry0773
Thank you Anna for hosting the last 2 mos and Cathe for the next ones. Sounds like we are all in for the card exchange---Yeah! Haven't heard from Katie (w/Jeannie) or Judy.
Speaking of cards, I finally have the ones I'm sending out done except for signing and addressing them. Now I'm working on the special ones for the kids. Spent an hour yesterday having the Cricut cut out a nutcracker. Holy moly there were 13 circles that are the smaller than a straight pin head. Drove me nuts gluing those on. I'll make another nutcracker today but different.

    • Anna: I agree with today's gif but in all honesty I didn't sleep a wink last night. Our restaurants in the area have been open for in house dining for months now. The waiters, etc still all wear masks just like at the doctors' offices.
    • Cathe: Holy cow....a circus act in their front yard? That's pretty amazing! Glad to hear Oakley & Casey are back in school and that Oakley did get out to celebrate halloween. DGD Lauren posted an Instagram photo of her costume up at college and she was a woodland fairy. That so suits her! I need to go to HL or somewhere like that to get the stuff to update the wreath and swags I have for outside. Been pinning things to help me decide what to do.
    • Cheryl: thanks for that info on the flu. I need to get that shot and a pneumonia one too. The kids were very cute.
    • Danielle: I bet you sister is really happy she has a workable kitchen now. When you said you worked on the electrical this past weekend, I thought it was done and the electrian had been there.
    • Denise: How is Tim? Did the doctor give him a good report? I so wish I had another fridge and freezer for the overflo stuff. Especially for things like turkeys or pies or freezing veggies. Right now meat takes up all my space.. Bff has 3 refrigerators and I'm so jealous!!!
    • Jane: Is Bob out of town working this week too? We got down to 41 deg last night and several times it was raining hard. I need to do some quick yard cleanup. Bought 2 bags of grass seed since Steve killed dandelions which killed the grass too. He winterized the trailer Monday so that chore is done. I rarely shop at the mall or stores now. Nothing interests me and it is a hassle. Plus our local mall doesn't have much and I'd have to drive 30 mi to get to good one. Did you see any of the videos from Kristine Werner yet? I need to watch those too.
    • Hi Judy and Katy

About time to get the crew up and outside to potty.
  • Southernlady2
    hello good morning

well it cold here. it rain here last night. it is cloudy today and cold. i took Bella for her walk now on to the gym to work out little bit. nothing eles going on here today.

Terry we just did the wire inside of the she shed to go to the plugs and the light. we are wait for the guy to give us how much it will be to have go to the power on the side of are house and into the crawl space then go to the she shed.

hope everyone has a great wedensday
  • Scrappin 2
Thank you Anna for hosting the last two months. Thanks for signing up for Jan/Feb, You're a glutton for punishment!! just kidding.

Should we take Tonya off the birthday list? She hasn't been in here in ages.

Danielle- I sure admire you for working out so much. Your heart must thank you!

Terry- thank you for the die cut. It is cute. I will definitely use it at some point. I like the colors very much.
I need to start my cards! Maybe I'll go do that in a few minutes.......or days. LOL

Today I went to the library as a book I requested was in. Then I stopped at the grocery store and then home.
this afternoon I I chopped down sedum and hydrangeas. I sort of wished I left the hyds as the brown was still pretty. I'm leaving the ones out back. They look pretty with snow on them.

Guess I will go into my scrap room and do SOMETHING! LOL
  • Rockmom
Yeh, I'd remove Tonya. It's been forever. If she returns she could be added again.

Judy, hmm, hope she is getting along.

Thank you ladies for posting new threads. I appreciate you!

I need to go to Walmart and to the pharmacy but I'd be smack dab in the middle of school traffic...no thanks.

The VA doc removed the arm splint for Tim and gave him exercises to do. Yay. The arm had atrophied quite a bit in a month. The tendons and ligaments are tight and it's hard to move but he is doing it.

Our neighbor put on a 10 minute version of Beetlejuice the musical on Halloween night. He did 5 shows! Another person had a haunted house in their garage and yard. Wow. Too much, I'm not that big a fan of Halloween. I do love looking at the cute little kids (did you see Cheryl's cute little lamb -granddaughter?) and making bigger kids happy with candy. Our Explorer Scout group put on a haunted house each year as a fund raiser. It was a tremendously large project that funded them all year. They rented buildings and revamped them into very scary haunted houses. The event lasted 2 weeks. Glad we aren't doing that anymore. Explorer Scouts is an arm of the Boy Scouts for boys and girls ages 14 to 18 that focuses on adventures such as backpacking, hiking, camping, etc. They also did community projects such as clean-ups and planting trees, and they also hosted a city-wide Easter egg hunt each year. It was actually a lot of work since I was the adult sponsor over fund raising for 2 years.

Danielle, did you get the electrician yet?

  • Terry0773
Morning! It got down to 39 last night and only 45 for the high. I was cold to the bone all day and just felt icky. I did get the 2nd nutcracker cut out and semi-finished. Gluing all those microscopic pcs together is a heck of a challenge! My order of the new TH Lumberjack Red gets here today so I can start the 2 cards (Danny's and Andrew's) and painting a Santa scene with distress inks. Then 1 more card after that and I am done.

I agree that we can take Tonya off and add if she comes back.

Denise: I understand how time consuming volunteering for the kid's adventures can be. When Danny got into trade school one of the projects that the school did every year was a haunted house. It really was a teaching project. Their "house" was a public bldg that was decorated and every single part was electronically run by mini computers that the boys made. So doors opened automatically, audio was run but changed from screams to swooshes to sounds of lightning. Danny built the code and computer to run both a flying skeleton and a dummy popping out of a closet. And yes they were graded on this. Bldg was opened for 2 wks and it took them another 2 wks to get it all ready. Everyone had fun doing it and seeing it run. Way good news about Tim's arm!!!!

Cathe: what book are you reading? Last year I found this new (to me) author that I really love. Her name is Kate Quinn and her books all focus on historical times that she includes in her fictional story. The one that drew me in is called The Rose Code which is about WWII and several British women who decipher German codes. Queen Elizabeth is in it as a little side story. High recommend it! I too need to go trim back plants, take sheets out to the trailer, throw down grass seed as it appears hubby isn't going to and give Cricket a bath.

Danielle: so basically the electrician needs to configure the junction panel. That is a task best left to the pros! I too applaud your commitment to going to the gym!

Hi to all....I also am doing a quick grocery run to Krogers and if I don't get into the shower it will be the afternoon before it gets done. BBL

    Good Thursday morning,
Today it is totally sunny, so nice. For some reason I thought I posted yesterday on here after posting on the Sept/October thread as did not see it at the time. Anna thank you for doing Sept/Oct and Cathe thanks for getting us going for Nov/Dec. Will be back hopefully before day's end as have a 2 hour dental appointment this afternoon, hopefully the last one.

Below is what I posted yesterday that did not show up here.

    Good afternoon, Wednesday Nov. 2nd
Sun finally came out, has been cloudy most of the day but it is 70 right now. This weekend will be warm, so they say, 81 on Saturday, wow this is November isn't it. The time changes Sunday even. Not much going on today, did a few errands and after dinner need to wrap Aria's gifts for Friday. Did a facetime with her last night, she is so funny and was all wound up last night. They took her to dinner for her actual birthday and also to the movies. She saw Lyle Lyle Crocodile. So now on Friday she has a small party with grandparents, then Saturday a party with her little friends, she is one busy girl this week.
Cheryl glad you and Izzy are feeling good.
Cathe glad Oakley and Casey were able to go back to school and Oakley even got to go Trick or Treating. Glad you got some pictures too!! You have been busy cleaning. I need some motivation to do my cleaning lately.
Terry how is today going for you? Baxter was full of the devil yesterday, doing everything he could think of that he knows not to do. He has way to much energy. I need to make some notes to talk with the vet when he goes for his 2 year checkup as I tend to forget to ask about a few things. How has Steve been feeling since his fall?

Since this day has flown by and as usual have not accomplish much, better find something to eat for dinner and finish a few things that I started.
Hi to everyone, enjoy your day.
  • Southernlady2
    hello and good morning

well it is cold here and cloudy here today. Took Bella for her walk this morning. i need to get my winter jacket out. i need a new winter jacket.. well went to the gym this morning. nothing much going on today. watch all the hallmark movies.

hope everyone has a nice thursday
  • Rockmom
    Hello all.

Jane, I hope your dental appt. went well.

Getting cold in Idaho, Danielle? Must be if you need your winter coat.

I've got so much yard work to do. I'm dreading it. I took down the kids' pool yesterday. It's been 2 weeks since we used it. It has 3 large inflatable rings, the top one has a slow leak so I'm tossing it. I should have gotten it to the curb last night for this morning's trash collectors. Oh well next trash day is Monday.

Terry, those nutcracker cards sound very intricate! I'd love to see pics when ya finish. Sounds like that haunted house was an elaborate deal. They can be very involved.

Cathe did you do something in your craft room?

Hello Anna, how is your family getting along today? Will you see Brit anytime soon?

  • Scrappin 2
    Thursday-- fairly productive day. LOL
I finished up two Christmas cards. I experimented embossing Merry Christmas. I didn't have the right stamp to fit in the banner I wanted to use. So I masked up one word, stamped, embossed and then repeated with the word Christmas. I only messed up two. LOL I had fun. I also made a birthday card.
This afternoon I walked with my neighbor Lynn. We hadn't seen each other in ages. She gets up early and meets a friend down at a walking path. I do not get up earlier enough to go with them.

Jane- believe me I have no motivation to clean........everything looks good so why bother? LOL I do keep the bathrooms cleaned. My furniture is the light oak and usually doesn't show dust. I do those blasted wooden blinds in our bedroom every now and then.
Aria is learning to celebrate BIG! We tease Doug that he has a birthday week.

Terry- The Nutcracker sounds really cute with all those microscopic parts.
I sure admire your son having the know how to make a computer. heck I can hardly use one. LOL
I picked up a book entitled You're Invited. I thought it was a nice murder mystery, but the first page is kind of graphic so I don't know if I will give it a chance or not.
I think I read that Kate Quinn book about the coders.
Since you like historical fiction you might like the author Fiona Davis.

Denise- I'm not a big Halloween fan either. I never understood wanting to be scared. But it is fun for the kids to dress up and it seems more and more the kids aren't dressing up as scary characters. Cheryl's Granddaughter was darling in that pink costume.
Too bad the pool got a leak and has to be tossed.
Glad to hear Tim can start moving his arm and regain strength.

Danielle- Have fun choosing a new winter jacket. I love jackets. I don't need one at all, kind of wish I did. My pink jacket that is only two years old, maybe three got make up all over the color. So last year I tried hiding it by putting a scarf around my neck. I don't like scarves. Plus it slipped down and the make-up showed anyway.
Last night I watched the one Kismet- about the magical cookies. Did you see that one? it was cute. I liked the male lead character. He was a regular on Chesapeake Shores that ended. I love Hallmark movies. You know everything will turn out ok.

Anna- hope you had a good day.
  • Cdjohnson
Hello! Thursday evening. Izzy and I are eating supper while I check in. I think everyone is finally on the mend. Schools here are closed until Wednesday due to high flu numbers.

Terry - I will be participating in the card exchange. I made some several months ago and believe I have plenty to go around.

Sorry I don't have time to chat more tonight, but I have laundry to get done. Of course, I also have to get up both a shower and talk to Priscilla on the phone.
  • OnlyJane
    Good Friday morning,
Sun is out and it is 49 at 9:30am. We have chilly mornings but has been warming up nicely as the day goes on.
Went to the dentist and the dentures are done and fitting good, there may be some tweaking needed as time goes on. You do have to have six months maintenance checks as they call it, they clean the implants, check for any problems, etc. You never get away from having something done but when you think about it your gums need to stay healthy. Today we go over to Aria's house for celebrating her b-day for us grandparents.
Cheryl glad everyone is healthy now and oh my on the schools being closed due to flu. They really have not said much here on cases of flu but it is going around. How is Priscilla doing?
Cathe nice that you enjoyed a walk with your neighbor. Bob told me I need to walk Baxter more during the day so he gets rid of his excessive energy. Yep, sure, I don't mind walking him some but have to remember to put his harness on or else he starts pulling with a leash. Oh too bad you got makeup on a jacket. Scarfs are so pretty but so many times forget to use one. Wish I liked wearing hats especially in the winter but don't care for them much. So many people look cute in them.
Denise so glad Tim can move his arm some now. Are you disappointed that your not having a big Thanksgiving this year? With all that you have had going on maybe being just you, Tim and your Mom having dinner will be relaxing for you. Did your son earn Eagle with the boy scouts> Our two did, we did lots of volunteer work. Bob and the boys did lots of camping adventures, was a Scoutmaster, etc. It was time consuming but lots of fun.
Terry are you using the TH Nutcracker die that he has out? I saw where he has the new distress ink Lumberjack Red. I doubt that any of the big box stores will ever get his new colors in, they still only carry his first colors out, I swear. Was surprised Hobby Lobby had a few of his newer dies for Christmas and now they reduced the price. Any big weekend plans, none here, sure would like to get the windows washed outside and all the light fixtures inside.
Danielle did you find a jacket that you like?
    Judy thinking about you.
Anna your Wednesday gif was so neat! We have no idea either on what will be for Thanksgiving. We are a small group and no one seems to be able to plan ahead other than the day before, well it seems that way. When do you start decorating for Christmas? In some ways would like to get it done right after Thanksgiving day but never happens,
    Hi to Katy and Ashley.

Better go and get some things done. Have a wonderful, safe day everyone!
  • Southernlady2
    hello and good morning

well it is cold here and little windy here. took Bella for her walk. well today is grocery store day today. i have a winter jacket but it old and i think i need to find a new one. i haven't been look for one yet.

hope everyone has a nice friday
  • Terry0773
Morning. We are having some intense rain at the moment and more coming. The grass is greening up nicely and now we have 2 bags of seed to spread as well before freezing.

    • Anna: How is everything? Your parents? Hope all is well....
    • Cathe: I have a real thing about scarves. The silk ones always make me feel like I'm choking and the knitted ones for winter are ok because I wear them loosely. I think in some prev life I was choked to death. I will look up Fiona Davis and see what she's written. I do love murder mysteries and crime stories. Not much into romance novels tho. I really just love to read and lose myself in the story. I also ordered a small order from SU.
    • Cheryl: How is Priscilla doing? Glad you all are feeling better. I'm stunned that schools are being closed because of the flu. I've never heard of that or experienced it. Then again I'm from another generation!
    • Danielle: Winter coats are so fun! Furry ones, soft down filled ones, and everything in between. What's your favorite type?
    • Denise: Does Tim still have trouble walking? There will be only 3 of us unless Emma comes. I hate fixing a dinner like that for only 3 and of course it's I cook, I clean up. I wonder what the guys would do if I served dinner on paper plates? hehehe... I hear ya on the yard work and I keep putting it off! I'm just going to put on the rain coat and boots and go get it done.
    • Jane: Glad to hear the dentures fit nicely and you have no problem with them. I have to go figure out if who is paying for the cleanings---me or insurance as now Medicare pays some. But not periodontal cleanings. So if I go to a periodontist for cleanings is it always classified as that? Why can't I go to a dentist? I shouldn't let small stuff like this bother me but it does!! Those TH nutcracker dies were what gave me the idea for the cards but I used the Cricut for the parts and pieces. One of his "makers" did cards with them and I love her backgrounds so I'll try to lift it but change it too. That's so cool that Aria is having such a birthday week! What fun for everyone! I remember the big wish for birthday's was going to a pizza place with games called "Chucky Cheese". Holy cow that was spendy and the pizza sucked!! But the kids had a ball. Yesterday Steve bought 2 stuffed doggie toys that squeaked and of course 24 hrs later they lay on the floor now because the 2 little managed to take out (or Kill) the squeaky part and there's stuffing everywhere for me to pick up. Yipee!!! I guess cuz hubby doesn't have to clean up this stuff its no big deal to him....grrrr.....

    BBL...
  • Rockmom
    Hey everybody!

My son wasn't in scouts, so no Eagle. Our daughter did the Explorer Scouts. My hubby is an Eagle though.

Tim is doing quite good with his arm/ hand. He isn't allowed to bend the knee when walking so that makes for a slow walk. He just started taking the brace off and doing range of motion movements while sitting. He can't bend it very much yet. He gets a new xray next week and a surgeon visit the following week.

No, not disappointed at having only the 3 of us at Thanksgiving. We will have everyone at Christmas. Next year will be our turn for Thanksgiving. We take turns with the kids' in laws. It works.

Rain is expected tonight here Terry. We are in the storm risk zone.

  • Scrappin 2
    Friday night

It was a rainy day, but warm

I spent most of the day in my scrap room.

    Watching Hallmark now.
  • Cdjohnson
Good Saturday morning! Izzy and I have a busy afternoon. We are going to Chuck E. Cheese for a birthday party and picking up Zoey and Zeke at 4. Izzy is an early riser so I have been up since 5. She is currently watching Cocomelon. I thought I would hope on while I had a minute. Prisiclla is doing ok just anxious to hear whether the parole board will give her parole. I have a site that I can look at to see if they have added any information regarding her parole but so far nothing has changed. I am so ready for her to be home!!
  • Terry0773
I just checked and yesterday we had 2 1/2 in of rain. That's alot for us in a day so it does explain all the flash flood warnings on the little creeks around here. I went out (yes it was pouring) and finally cut back the Butterfly bush that tipped over. This spring I'll re-plant it and also stabilize it somehow. Cleaned out the 2 planters by the house too. I was soaked when I came in. Glad it's done tho!
Had Applebee's for supper and at 8:30, I ran back into town for Dairy Queen ice cream. Big craving for some frozen chocolate....

Cheryl: I hope you get some good news about the parole soon. I can imagine she's anxious to be home too.
Denise: How is the storm in your area? I read that it was a doozy and a big one too. Such good news about Tim's arm. Hoping the knee gets some good healing going on too.
Cathe: we are now watching Rings of Power on Prime. It amazes me the hi tech graphics that movies are using. Plus it's about elves, dwarves, and of course with Tolkien Orcs. I am going surfing in Amazon today for that author you mentioned. I have some books in a wishlist for the kids to get me.

I saw a FB post from BFF's granddaughter that I thought was extremely rude. On FB no less she writes this post saying how all family and friends are not to give her kids (3) any toys or clothes for xmas. She wants them to have only gift cards. These kids are 7, 5, & 2 yr old. Doesn't it seem she's taking the fun of xmas away from those kids? Plus to me it seems rude to say it that way (on FB). I'm probably being an old fuddy duddy and its not my business anyway! Oh well....

  • Southernlady2
    hello and good afternoon

    Hello.

Costco shopping done. Remind me next time that Saturdays at Costco are awful. Wal Mart shopping done. I went to At Home and bought an inflatable 20 foot tall Christmas tree for the yard. Not my favorite but the kids will love it. Will order the rest of the groceries for pickup from HEB.

Had to activate my debit card at the branch bank in Walmart but it wouldn't activate. Teller said it was reported lost or stolen. Uh no. She made me a new card with a new number. I have to wait until tomorrow to activate it. We've used that bank for many years. Never had this kind of issues. If they had sent the new card via mail it wouldn't have been an issue.

Cathe sorry about the key board. No fun.

Danielle, look on pinterest for card ideas or here in the gallery. That always helps me.

It began raining around ten pm yesterday. The wind and thunder wasn't until midnight. It didn't last long. It continued to rain until 2 am. Grateful there was no damage in our area.

I have decided on a spiral sliced ham, baked sweet potatoes, green beans, and dinner rolls for Thanksgiving. Nothing fancy or hard work. I'll buy a pie for Tim and Mom. I might make me a cheesecake.

Cheryl, I know y'all are missing your daughter. Wish I could make it better for ya.

Yeh, that's awful and rude to do it on FB.

  • Scrapperb2
    Good Sunday morning,

I seem to fall way behind on this thread. I love reading what everyone has to say and how things are going in your area, as we all live in different states. Here in N.H. the weather has been beautiful and warm. The sun is still warm enough were some days I don't wear any jacket at all. Friday we did some errands, I did go out, which is unusual for me, but hubby was happy. Sometimes I sit in the truck while he goes into the store to shop.
I have everything I need to do my fall cooking and the items I need to bake and bring to Carrie's house for Thanksgiving. We have extra turkeys in the freezer and will give her some to cook. I am making 5 meat pies to put in the freezer, and a batch of snicker doodles. We also have a large stand-up freezer to hold the overflow.
I have been busy in my scrapbook room working on my Thanksgiving cards to send out to family members. I use the card challenge that Nora hosts for my ideas and this month I applied them to holiday cards. It is so fun, and the sketches help a lot. I have other challenges to do this month. I wish I could go home to be with my family, but it just isn't going to happen any time soon. My brother hosts Thanksgiving for the family and whoever drops in.
Friday my brother Tim, from CT., came up to N.H. to climb another mountain that is 4000 feet or higher. He is working towards a N.H. badge. Anyway I didn't know he was up here near our house until he called, and said he was dropping in and wanted us all to go out for dinner. What a pleasant surprise and we had a great time, but he had to get home that night. He is my only living bother.
Today is cooking a pork roast with veggies and watching football. Time to relax with hubby for awhile.
Denise----I am so glad Tim is doing well. Being able to move his arm is a plus to his recovery. I went thru that PT over the summer when Rene had his shoulder surgery, it does take time.
Cathe---I like mysteries to read. I am in the series of "The Woman's Muder Club". So far there are 22 books, I am on number 14, and 23 will be out next spring. Thanks for hosting the thread. Also my birthday is June 18. Sticky keys truly are a pain.

Hello Danielle, Sherry, Jane and everyone else.

    Have a great Sunday
  • Anna C
Reminder: Clocks 'Fall Back' 1 Hour on Sunday

Did you all set your clocks back last night? We did but not happy about it. I hate that it gets dark so early.

I guess we are having Indian Summer here. It has been in the 70s with lots of sunshine. We cut the heat off and opened the windows! Rain moved in overnight.

Linda, I get behind here too. I used to check in daily but life has changed a bit so now I check in several times a week. Sounds like you are already for Thanksgiving. What a nice surprise from your brother.

Denise, we don't have a Costco here but believe me Sam's was just as bad yesterday. It was really crowded plus they are doing some type of remodel and parts of it are closed off which makes it tougher to get around in the store. So happy to read that Tim is improving. Hopefully, his knee will heal quicky. How is your son doing?

Cathe, do believe it is time for a new keyboard. I have gotten back into reading. Currently I am reading Scarpetta by Patricia Cornwell (no relation lol!) I like scarves in the fall and winter. In fact, I wore a fall one the other day to work.

Danielle, we are excited for Yellowstone too. I need to sit down and figure out which streaming service offers it in real time….disadvantage of not having cable anymore.

Terry, that is a lot of rain in one day! What did you eat from Applebees? Ours is hit or miss. Sometimes it is really good and other not so much. Service isn't always the greatest either. Such a rude and crude post by BFF's granddaughter. Little kids do not want gift cards; they love the thrill of opening a gift!

Cheryl, I really hope your daughter gets home in time for Thanksgiving. What a wonderful gift that would be for you and her children. My daughter loved Chuck E Cheese when she was growing up. We don't have one here but took her to one two hours away at least once a year.

Jane, there was a lot of hipe here about the UT vs GA game. Sorry they didn't win. My Hokies lost again too. Glad your dental procedures are done now. Sounds like Aira had an exciting week of bday fun!

No Christmas decorating here until after Thanksgiving. Hubbs has already said no outside tree this year!!! And it will depend on if the kids come home for the holidays as to how much I decorate. She called the other night and said they may come home for the holidays. Last year wasn't much here because I was down with Covid.

Took my Dad back to the doctor to get his scan results. The good news is the cancer is contained to the prostrate. Nothing showed up in the bones or lymph nodes. Bad news is the type of cancer he has is aggressive so without treatment it will spread. We go back this week to meet with the radiologist to discuss treatment options.

    Have a great day ladies!

  • Cdjohnson
Anna - Yes, set the clocks back. I hope by next year we are finished with this business of setting clocks back.

Cathe - Sorry about the keyboard.

Hello to everyone else! I am being summoned. Thought I could get away with hopping on here.
  • Terry0773
Morning! I have 3 clocks to reset and thankful that all the others automatically do it. What I've heard is that this coming spring we go back into daylight savings and that is it---no more changes from then on. I hope this is not gossip!
Had some severe weather --- lots of rain and wind with the "atmospheric river" coming in. Seattle area took the biggest hit and many counties are out of power for poss several wks. This cold kicked on the heater part of the heat pump system and somewhere there's a leak since warm air is flowing out the closet door where the parts are. Hubby now wants to knock a hole in the coat closet to get in there and fix it. Wonder how he plans to fix the wall? Brother! I say let the guy from the company come fix it but my opinion doesn't count.

    • Anna: Are the doctors talking surgery or chemo/radiation? Either option is going to be hard on a man his age. Hoping for the best for him and you. To me Applebees is horrible to bring home as a reheat cooks the steak too much for Steve. I usually have a quesadilla chicken rollup and side of mac n cheese. It was just different as we eat too much Mex on Fridays. Enjoy the Indian Summer weather! My Christmas decorating will be after Thanksgiving too.
    • Cathe: I couldn't help but laugh at the missing "E"s. I'm sure it is frustrating for you tho. You are right --as is everyone else--- little ones like little gifts. This granddaughter rubs me wrong for many reasons but I have to keep the mouth shut. Having company for dinner tonight?
    • Cheryl: It would be so nice if Priscilla were home by Christmas! Will keep good thoughts for that!
    • Danielle: Denise has a great idea of going to Pinterest for the cards. And it is ok to send store bought ones if you can't find something or even to opt out of the exchange. Your choice and no pressure!!!
    • Denise: Your T-day dinner plans sounds like winner to me. I need to talk to Steve to see if he has major problems with no turkey. I too have learned that lesson about Costco on the weekends. Horrible and now the Christmas stuff is coming out and its worse. And with my knee pain I hate going there. Steve meanders thru the aisles and I just want to find somewhere to sit while he s-l-o-w-l-y goes up & down aisles and browses. I don't do outdoor decorating for xmas as I couldn't ever get Steve to help. Scrooge!
    • Jane: sorry UT lost yesterday but my son Danny was over the top that Notre Dame won big since they have had many losing games recently. Enjoy Aria's BD party or was that yesterday?
    • Linda: Do you want in on the card exchange here. There would be 9 or 10 cards to be sent and the only "rule" is no pressure!!!! Let me know and DM me your address so I can send it out to everyone. I'll DM you everyone's addresses too. Sounds like you have some cooking planned! I wish I had a second freezer for overflow. But now I have no room to put one as hubby went and added a pre-built pantry for the TV in the garage. He needed it for the workout area---that would be the one he hasn't used in 2 yrs!!! Sounds like you were overjoyed to see your brother and that is so very cool!!

Have a warm safe and fun Sunday!!!
  • Anna C
May be an image of nature, sky and text

    Good morning!

The rain moved out early yesterday and it turned out to be a beautiful, sunny day. Some areas even broke records because it was so warm yesterday. We had all of the windows open and the fans going and sat on the front porch in the dark last night. Have I mentioned that I hate this time change. I'm all for it spring forward and staying that way!!!!

Terry, the urologist is recommending hormore shots and radiation. However, the radiologist may recommend something different. Dad isn't sure he is going to take treatments. He will make his decision after meeting with radioloist on Friday. My sister will not be able to go with us on Friday, wish she could. Not sure I know what questions to ask.

    Have a good day ladies!
  • Terry0773
Morning all.... Got down to 35 deg last night and it looks as if the rest of the week the highs will be mid 40 and lows are creeping down to 30 deg. But sunny skies for 2 days.
On Thursday I get to see the guy who going to make my Rx orthotics. I'm curious as to what he's going to say. I know using the Thera Gun is helping alot with both knees and a very tight IT muscle. Walking is much easier now.
I too hate the time change. I snacked before supper and getting up to early. Why is it so hard to just leave the time alone!!!

Anna: I wish I had an answer to what to ask the drs. Maybe a google search on that would help. Or even a telephone conference with his primary care doctor who might give suggestions. My heart goes out to you as this isn't easy in any way shape or form. I hope your father is in a healthy state except for that. Huggsss.... How awesome to just sit outside and enjoy the night! I'm waiting anxiously for Yellowstone to premier and right now we are watching House of the Dragon which is the prequel to Game of Thrones. Have a quiet week!!!
Cathe: I bought one of Fiona Davis's books that I'll start reading today. It's the one with Lions in the title. Anxious to see the paper I bought from SU.

I'll ci later. Need to cut a metallic snowflake to finish the nutcracker cards. Then on to painting TH Santa stamp for 2 more cards. And 1 shaker card after that and I am done.
  • Scrapperb2
    Morning everyone,
I survived the weekend with the change in time. Yesterday the day seemed so long, and I couldn't wait to go to bed. I slept like a rock for a change, but my cat didn't bother me very much. I agree, leave the dang clocks alone, I don't understand the benefits of changing them.
This morning I was quite energized and accomplished so much. It makes me feel good and now the rest of the day I will be in my scrapbook room. Yesterday I cleaned out the bin I have of paper pieces, and I found out that I am truly a paper hoarder. The tiny bits of paper made no sense to me as to why I was keeping them as they only fell to the bottom of the box, and I didn't use them. So OUT they went and kept the ones I can use for die cuts and with the cricut machine.
Anna---I don't know how old your father is, and the decision of what to do for Prostate cancer is difficult. About 12 years ago my hubby was diagnosed with prostate cancer. The hospital and doctors at the Lebanon Institute had the best cancer center in the state. The review concluded that the recommendation was to remove it completely. This was the most life altering decision we had to make, and much thinking went into the pros and cons. The surgery went well, and it was completely removed. After the first year of mixed feelings everything has gone great ever since. We have no regrets and probably has led to longevity in life. Without it, the cancer would return without a vengeance. I couldn't risk losing him. Anyway, that is the jist of it.

Terry---good luck at finishing those cards, I do not know if I am up to accept anything else until after the holidays. I appreciate the offer and definitely will think about what January holds for me. Also social media is not always in our best interest.....rude, yes thoughtful, NO

Cheryl----I don't know your story about your daughter, but I will pray for the return of her to the family

Danielle----I go to Pinterest to look up many topics not related to scrapbooking/cardmaking. I am always in the market for good, but simple recipes especially for two people unless our daughter's family is coming. Sometimes I am on it for hours just looking at anything that pop's up

Well I should close for now, the two cats are not exactly getting along at sometimes they show hope

    Hugs to everyone

Good afternoon, Monday, sun finally came out after a little light rain, just enough that I will not have to water today. It is 72 out, would you believe it got to 80 yesterday. Yes that was a heart breaker for the Vols football team. Georgia is really a strong team. I think lots of people thought they would not win this one but you always hoped they would. We play Missouri Saturday at home so hopefully we can win.
Linda I wish they would leave the time alone too. This morning I woke up at 3:30 and could not get back to sleep. Glad you had a good night's sleep and feel very energized this morning.
Anna glad you had a nice weekend. Glad you can go with your Dad for his doctor's visit. Hope they can come up with a good plan for him. Write down the questions you want to ask so you don't forget. I tend to have questions in my mind, but forget most of them when talking to the doctor. Our weather is unusually warm for this time of year, however the long range forecast is calling for some frozen mix next week, who knows. Hope your dd will come home for Christmas. Did your mil get moved and settled in her new home?
Terry glad walking is getting better for you. Metallic snowflake sounds so pretty, your work is always gorgeous looking. I better get going on doing my Christmas cards because if I wait much longer it will be bought cards. Hope Steve finds out what is going on with your heating. Just made an appointment for Baxter's yearly shots and checkup. Like I said to Linda, wish they would leave the clocks alone. Enjoy your day. Oh and all the birthday events are over for Aria, she had so much fun. DS sent me a few photos of her party with her little friends, oh my their house looked was one big mess but boy she was one happy girl. I think there were 6 kids, and at least one parent with each one in attendance.
Cathe, that is so annoying when a keyboard starts having problems. I had one, from time to time, only half of it would work, crazy as can be so Bob bought me a new one. Watched the new Hallmark movie last night but to me it was just so so. Have you been scrapping today or shopping? Once again, was going to the mall but got detained with looking if there was anything new at M's which there was not, Hobby Lobby was full of people, they have Christmas at 60% off on most things, Fall items are 75% off, so people were buying baskets full of stuff. Not me. We had strong winds Saturday afternoon and leaves were flying all over the place. DS said he would come over and mulch them up but still many more to fall.
Danielle is your weather still cold?
Denise ugh on your debit card. We had someone put a phony charge on our credit card, so the bank had to issue a new one, problem was this was right before we were going on a trip and would not get the new one in time so they allowed us to use the card only where we were going for the week and when we got home, the new card was there.
Cheryl hope your week is good.
Time to go, have a good day!!

  • Scrappin 2
I have a new keyboard! Yay! Rum and I went to Office Depot this afternoon and got it.
    Everyone dislikes changing times.

I was in HL today. I had fun looking at all the stuff on sale. But I needed nothing. I bought Thanksgiving napkins, got home and checked my supply and I have plenty. I might take them back as I have no room in my seasonal napkin drawer.

Anna- Hugs for you dealing with your Dad's cancer. It is good news that it is contained to the prostrate.
It would be nice if Brit got home for Christmas.

Denise- so weird about the debit card.

Jane- Glad Aria had fun at her birthday celebrations.
    You should start scrapping!
Sorry you woke up and couldn't get back to sleep, that is so annoying!

Linda- isn't it a good feeling to get rid of scraps that are too small for much of anything?
Your kitties--Did one come into the household after the other?

Terry- Glad to hear you are walking better. I don't know what a Thera Gun is, I will have to google it.
I hope you enjoy the Fiona Davis book. I don't think I have read the one with Lion in the title. I liked her first one the best. I can't remember the title.

    I'll be voting tomorrow.
I like to go to the polling place. Ours is never very busy. Walk in and vote. Once I had to wait a min or two

    Hi to all.

  • Southernlady2
    hello and good afternoon

i hate the time change. i hope they can keep daylight savings. well it been cold here rain and windy here today. nothing much going on here today went to the gym for little bit and took Bella for her walk. i can't wait to see my nephew and niece for Christmas time. well i am still in with the Christmas cards if i don't think of something this Christmas i just use store bought Christmas cards that i have. i was talk to my husband yesterday about my surgery and he said if the hospital close to us not take are insurance we will go to the one in twin falls and the doctor i saw said his old partner dose it in twin falls so we will see what happens. then i need to get a crown on one of my tooth so i am hope they give us a better dental insurance on that. because it cost alot.

    Don't forget to vote today!!!
We voted early, about two weeks ago.

Thanks for the kind comments about Dad. Greatly appreciated.

Another warm and gorgeous day yesterday. But a cold front is on the way and by Sunday we will only be in the 30s.

Hope you all have a fantastic day!

    hello and good morning

well look like we got little dusting of snow late last night. yuck but they said it should be melting today. i am not ready for snow here yet. nothing much going on today take Bella for her walk and then to the gym. we are going to vote when my husband comes home from work. where we vote is at a church that close by us. i need to call the vet because Bella is due for some shots which i like to do it on a saturday where my husband can go with me because i think she dose better with my husband.

Ann- sorry to hear about your dad .

well hope everyone has a great tuesday
  • Rockmom
    Hey.

Anna, sorry to read about your dad's diagnosis. Happy to hear it's not spread. Why can't we find a simple cure for cancer yet? Seems like we should have.

Danielle, store bought cards are just fine. Not to worry. This is for fun, no stress.

The debit card must have been a mistake made when the clerk printed my new card. It only took 5 or 10 minutes. It was super fast. I was just miffed at the clerk's attitude toward me when I approached the counter. First she told me I didn't stand in line. Well I was there before all the others approached. I guess lines are now different. It is a single line rather than a line at each Teller. If that's the case why did you let me stand where I was at and NOT tell me I had to move over? Then she asked me what the machine said. I had handed her my card and both slips with the printout on them and my driver's license. I felt she should have looked at the printouts directly. The machine said "Error." The guy at the machine before me told me it didn't work for him either as he turned and left. He had heard her questioning me. He didn't get in the "single line" either but she never said boo to him about it. I kinda was getting miffed at her attitude toward me. But brushed it off. But then it took a turn when she told me the card was reported lost or stolen. Like I'd use someone else's card. The look she gave me. See that picture on my driver's license? That is me. That's when I changed her attitude. I told her my address, my SS last 4, and told her you have my driver's license . I have my husband's DL with me and his bank card too, do you want to see those? I told her The bank printed the card a week ago and they didn't mail me a new one to boot. The mistakes are on your side, not mine. I've had this account longer than you've been alive. So cut the attitude and get me a new card with a new number and don't make any mistakes this time. She changed her attitude quickly and I had my new card in a few minutes. Sheesh. I've never had any problems with this bank before. I was surprised at the attitude. I've not tried activating the card yet. Hope it works when i do!

Good Tuesday afternoon, sunshine and warm 77 right now at 2:20pm
Went to the mall today, first went into J's as it is across the street, they had lots of Christmas items out and some things were discounted at 40%. Saw some cute items but have no place to put them but fun to look. The mall is not decorated for the holidays yet, but a few places like Hickory Farms had their place setup, See's candy was in the process of getting ready. There were a good number of people shopping with their kids as schools are closed for voting. Did buy some items for Christmas gifts, now to find a place to put them until then. My closets need to be declutter to make some room.
Denise good for you helping the bank clerk get over her attitude, It has been some time but had to go to the bank manage over a teller issue. She must have been acting up for awhile because she no longer worked for that bank shortly after. It is such a nice day today, so warm, have a feeling though next week it will be cold.
Danielle with Baxter I, too, like it when Bob can go with me to the vet, just makes it easier. They are saying around here the voting places are really busy. Glad we did early voting. Enjoy your walk with Bella.
Anna our weather has been beautiful and warm, but like I told Denise have a feeling next week will be cold. Enjoy the nice day.
Cathe glad you got your keyboard. Hobby Lobby had all the dies marked down in your store also, hmm wonder they are up to. They did that to all their blank cards, got rid of them all, then that area stayed vacant for weeks, but now more of the same cards are back, go figure.
Terry when you mentioned reading, it made me think about reading again. Use to be an avid reader but got away from it. There is only one bookstore in our area that isn't that far left, Barnes and Noble. Need to go there soon. In our community they are building what they call a Town Center which will be mixed use, apartments, eateries, stores and they asked the community what would they like to see there, bookstores and gift type stores were top of the list. Did you get your snowflake finished?
Katy what is new with you these days?
Judy still thinking of you, hugs!
    Ashley thinking of you too!!
Cheryl hope you week is going good. They are starting to close some of the schools in our state because of flu.
Linda hope your week is off to a good start too!

Better go, need to make a decision on making a change of insurance for meds.
Have a good, safe day everyone!!!!
  • Scrappin 2
    Good evening!

It is our 53rd wedding anniversary. We are leaving to go out to eat.
    Have a nice evening.
  • Terry0773
Note to self: do not hit the back button when something pops up on the page. Lost the post but luckily it wasn't big!
Just saying that today was busy with nails (a new glimmery copperish color), picking up Rxs at different places, going into town to the liquour store and lunch at ChickFilA.
It's bitter cold since the wind, which is slight, is coming off Mt Hood and the temp is also only 45 deg. But it's sunny!!!

Anna: we also voted 2 wks ago in the mail in ballot. I saw the line at the PO where you take the drive through ballot and it was very long! Hope we get rid of the ones here in WA state that need to go! IMHO....

Cathe: Happy anniversary and more to come! Wish they would let me resize images. Hoping you two had a wonderful evening celebration!
    e7e4d6c28e57df48ae6d8229373acc8d.jpg

Denise: sometimes I think people who work with the public forget the basic respectful rule. I would have given her a piece of my mind too. It's sad that one has to stoop to being hateful but sometimes that is all that gets thru. I'm taking a cue from you on T-day dinner and I did get Steve to approve it in advance so there isn't any hassle last minute. Except of course the usual control issue he has. I said spiral cut ham and he immediately counters with a smoked or better yet a peppered ham. No !!!! But then he came back with a splayed chicken that he would smoke on the Green Egg. NOOO!!!! See how it goes in my house. How is Tim doing?

Jane: I used to love going into Barnes n Noble but mostly I just get books now from Amazon. I have enough to open a small library! Steve used to read a lot as well but all he reads now is the news and commentaries and FB of course. I haven't been out looking at Christmas stuff to decorate with or to buy for others. I guess we are having Emma for xmas as her mom is leaving just before Thanksgiving to go to Bangkok or 2 mos. She's also taking Emma over to Levenworth (it's in the WA Cascades) which is a nordic style christmas town. It's very cool there. It won't surprise me at all if Pina announces moving back to Thailand. I used a TH big snowflake and the thing was a bugger to get all the die pcs out. But now I'm going to go glue those cards.

Linda: it is just fine if you opt out of our exchange. Maybe next year!!!

Hi to all....Hope everyone is doing well.

  • Southernlady2
    hello and good morning

well today looks like it rain here. take Bella for her walk later on and then go to the gym. hope everyone has a nice Wednesday
  • OnlyJane
Good Wednesday afternoon, another sunny day, cooler at 71
Not much going on, needed a few items so did some grocery shopping, looked around Tuesday Morning and it is full of Christmas. Spent some time yesterday getting some more things to donate, lots more to go.
Danielle hope you and your husband can get all your insurance needs figured out and get your surgery booked.
Cathe Happy Anniversary, did you have a nice dinner last night?
Terry your nail color sounds so pretty. The girl who does my hair had her nails done and they were a beautiful copper color also. Glad voting is over, not sure if this country will be better off or not as in my opinion not enough of the ones who needed to go, still stayed in, oh well. Wish I knew exactly what we are doing for Thanksgiving this year, last minute plans are for the birds. If no one is able to get together than would like to go somewhere for a few days just for a change. Getting too much in a rut lately.

That is about it for now so will go and put some things away and do some dusting and clean the bathroom, boy such excitement!!!!!!
Enjoy the day and stay safe!

    HAPPY ANNIVERSARY CATHE
What a beautiful milestone in your life. Congratulations and I hope there are many more.

We voted yesterday, absolutely nothing changed--not good.
Today I had an appointment around noon. The sun was out but a little chilly. The temperature dipped down into the 20's last night and we knew this nice weather wasn't going to last long.
I was ambitious this morning and attacked so many little things that sometimes gets neglected. It makes me feel good to see everything picked up neatly and, in the place, where it belongs.
The kitties still do not get along. The kitten wants to play, but the other one doesn't. It will get better

I have to run, I was JCI to see what's up
  • Scrappin 2
    Wednesday evening.
Thank you for the birthday wishes.

Jane We had a nice dinner and a really nice waiter. Although to tell you the truth I was disappointed in my garlic mashed potatoes. They hardly had any garlic taste and I think they were instant. I wanted dessert but was too full.
We don't have a Tuesday Morning. We did at one time, but it was small. I was in some great ones in MI. They had Echo Park kits for such a cheap price. Guess they don't have those anymore.

Today I went to another grocery store looking for a 20 lb turkey. All they had were 16 lbs. So I got a few things I needed and stopped at Target. They had one Butterball in the case that was almost 20 lbs. I snatched it up.
I bought two rotisserie chickens and had to pick the chicken off the bones when I got home. I made some tortellini soup to take to Doug. He is a little better. I left enough in the pot for us for dinner. I am NOT making a second meal.

Linda- it IS a good feeling to get things back where they belong. I am constantly cleaning off the peninsula in the kitchen. It is usually all my stuff, or shared mail. At least the political notices will stop.

Terry- I bet your nails are pretty. I never have mine done. I bought some of those stick em on nails, but haven't tried them. Waste of money. I showed them to Nev when she was home and it didn't seem like she wanted them. Rayn is Not into any kind of beauty, She doesn't wear make-up. Yet with her Asian heritage her skin is a beautiful color. She doesn't need makeup.
Would Pina just leave Emma in WA? I know Emma is in college but still.....and her Dad is there, but still.....

Danielle- hope you get the surgery date you want.
My Granddog really dislikes the UPS guy.

I keep thinking I will have an entire day to make Christmas cards or scrap. The days go by way too fast especially if i leave the house.
Have a nice evening.........or morning.........I know I come in here late in the day.
  • Terry0773
What a day! Late yesterday afternoon the dogs alerted us to a "stranger" in our yard. It was a beautiful Rhode Island Red hen chicken that wandered in. So I called a few neighbors and no one knew or had chickens. Of course everyone needed to chat a bit. Didn't know what to do as the bird just wandered closer to the door. At 9PM Steve took off for bed and Ms Bird was sleeping in front of our door. It got down to 25 deg last night yet this morning there she is shivering and trying to find bugs to eat in my flower bed. Couldn't take it so I took out some bread and water and then called 2 more neighbors. Fast forward to 3PM, bird is still here but I didn't see her so I let the dogs out. Holy cow.....my little 6 lb Missy took off like a rocket and is now chasing and jumping at this bird who is flying as fast as a chicken can fly and I'm "running" as fast as an old woman with bad knees and floppy slippers can motor. Then I hear this cry rather than clucking and as I round the corner there are bird feathers everywhere, chicken is between the house and the heat pump, and Missy (the turd) is standing guard. After a scolding, Missy is in the house and Ms Bird took off for the berry bushes behind us. I am so hoping she's ok but also that she meanders somewhere else.
The 2 cards I'm working on now are the ones I need to color of a Santa. And DS#1 just talked me into making a cross stitch Christmas stocking for DGS Andrew's girlfriend Camryn. Why can I not say no to that kid? This gives me 3 weeks to stitch it and sew it and mail it. I'm already exhausted just thinking about it!
Going to the dr early tomorrow for a fasting blook draw and from there to the orthopedic guy for the molding of my feet for the orthopedic shoe inserts.

Cathe: glad you had a nice dinner excepting the spuds. Most restaurants I find don't give the garlic enough boost for my tastes. Emma has that awesome skin color that Asian mixed with white get. I think its absolutely beautiful. Last yr, I cooked a 15 # turkey for the 4 of us but I also wanted enough leftovers to send home with Danny.
Danielle: I hope you get the surgical date you want. Here the doctors tell you when and the night before the hosp calls with the time. I think that system is awful!
Jane: I'm with you as I would love to travel on Thanksgiving but now that Danny is alone I would also feel guilty leaving him. Sure wish I won the 2 Billion $$ lottery last night!!! I'd hire a staff to cook & clean for T-day dinner for everyone I know!!! I love copper and have several decor pieces from Italy in my kitchen.
Linda: It's in the high 20s at night here too. Once the rain starts again it will warm up some. Friday I need to patch the drywall that little Missy ate and also to spray paint my 2 iron wall planters black. Steve is going to mulch the leaves that have fallen so I need to also blow off the patios.

Ok....I'm off...dogs are barking so the bird might be back...dang....

Terry- what an event going in at your house. I chuckled while picturing you running after Missy in your floppy slippers.
I know three people who have chickens and love them i think you should adopt the bird , build a pen and become a chicken momma! Lol

Good Thursday afternoon, clouds have moved in, rain is expected overnight into Friday!
Weather is about to change, will get cold with freezing temps at night, the heat will be running soon, it was nice to have at least two weeks without any heat or air.
Denise sorry about hitting the back button and losing your post, Hope your day goes better after lunch.
Danielle glad you got your pre op appointment made and also for getting your Covid and flu shots. Some snow already, not sure if we will get much snow this coming winter. Would like a day or two of snow, trees and things look so pretty with snow on them.
Terry I had to laugh at you chasing the chicken, oh my. Has it left? So now you will be doing a cross stitch Christmas stocking. I use to do cross stitching years ago and enjoyed doing it. We use to have a wonderful small store called Needle in a Haystack which had all sorts of things for needlepoint and cross stitching plus they had classes too. It was sad to see them close. There seems to be lots of traffic on the roads in our area, people are starting to shop the stores more with the holidays coming. We are not members of Costco but noticed their parking lots were filled with cars, they seem to stay busy.
Cathe I find, too the day goes by so fast especially when going out in the mornings. Glad you found a turkey that weighed what you wanted. Not sure if we will buy a turkey this year or maybe cook something like prime rib for a change. My oldest son sent a text that his truck broke down but he managed to get it to a parking lot off the road. He went to get some gas for his lawnmower, stopped for lunch and started to head home, truck would not stay running. Nothing worse than being out and you have vehicle problems.

Seems like a slow afternoon, lots that could be done but not feeling like doing it, so hope everyone has a good day, stay safe.

    Good evening--Wednesday no Thursday. LOL
    It's the 10th, Casey and Sonny's anniversary.

Denise- Sure hope your afternoon went better! It is so maddening when a post disappears.

Danielle- did you get your Covid and flu shot both today?
I got my flu shot today. The arm is a little sore.

Jane- we were at 75* today. Tomorrow is to be 40*
Carole and I are going out anyway. We're hardly Mid-Western-ers. LOL
It will seem really cold after today though.
Rum loves turkey, and all the trimmings. So I will probably always have to have a turkey. LOL
Hope your son got his truck to the repair shop.

Terry-Yes, is the chicken still there? Poor thing, Probably afraid of the dogs. Hope she is finding things to eat.

I spent the day getting the flu shot, scrapbooking and doing one load of clothes. I did walk in the late afternoon with Lynn. (neighbor in the back of the subdivision) Perhaps I will mess with getting the LO in here.

    Have a nice evening.
