How do I upload scrapbook pages the right way

I haven't touched scrapbook supplies in 15 years. I want to get back into it. I was looking through the inspiration pages and I'm blown away at how far scrapbooking has come since I was here last. So...ok. Stupid question. How do I upload my pages without it looking like I took a picture of it and uploaded it. All the ones I see look like they were scanned or something.

Hi! I can tell you the way I upload my photos. After years of participating here, I finally bought a light box from Amazon. It made a huge difference in the quality of my photo. Plus, I use my computer photo program to adjust the photo as needed; light, contrast, color and crop.

Some people photograph their uploads with props. I don't do that because I feel it takes away from my upload. Many of the layouts in the gallery are digital, so that might be what they look scanned.
