My daughter is older and out of the "doll" stage and I'm not real, real familar with these dolls.....but how about going with the theme the doll is protraying?

I would use bazzil and patterned paper that match your child's favorite dolls. Maybe with a sleek girly feel. You could try Scrapworks.com to look at their new 05 line. It has a lot of pink and black things. Or possibly go shabby sheek like the new Basic Grey line. http://store.scrapbook.com/bg-00183.html

Oh! I just thought of something! You could scan the fabric of one of the doll's outfits. Then print it out to make it into a paper piecing of one of the dolls. My mom did thie for some of my china pics. She scanned part of my Chinese dress. And then cut out a dress for a paper pieced doll. It looked really cool. She even put the frog fastners on it!

Maybe something funky and bright like the SEI papers.

Can't give advice on what paper brands to use, but, as for the types of papers, I would slant towards something retro and something with a geometric look...you know, lines and shapes.
