Where can I find slide mounts? Can you recommend some online stores? What do I need to prepare them myself?

Sizzix makes several slide frame dies. You can also buy real slide frames at a camera supply store, very cheap. If you want to heat emboss them, be sure to get cardboard, not plastic, which would melt.

e-bay has some nice buys. I prefer pastic colored ones, then I just add the embellishments. I just bought a case of 42 plastic slides, about 6 different colors on e-bay for $5.00. Shipping was really cheap too.

You have to decide whatyou want to do with them before you buy them. Emboss: cardboard, cover with paper: cardboard, simply decorate:plastic.
