Hi Planty!
A laminate chip is a sample of countertop colors that you can get at home depot. They are really beautiful colors and textures, and they come with a hole in the top already, so they'll be perfect for tags, etc.
Believe me.. I am clueless about so many things I read here.. and nosey too. Glad you asked!

Be prepared to be AMAZED at your choices! I had my five year old helping me so I could get more in a faster time. I had to keep shushing her as she was very LOUDLY saying "THESE WILL BE PERFECT FOR SCRAPBOOKING!" LOL.. yet at the same time, telling her it's ok, we're ALLOWED to take them, lol. It was pretty funny!

OOOH Ill have to go check it out. Gives me a reason to go to the home depot. I love their garden dept. So its just samples of the countertops?? HMM I think they are going to get wise and find us scrapbookers out!!

No samples to post, but I've heard StayzOn stamp ink works well on them. It's not archivally safe for scrapbooks, but if that's not important to you, the ink sticks to almost anything. They sell it at the store here, too.

Has anyone seen any examples of pages done using the laminate chips you can get at home depot? I got a beautiful batch of them yesterday, and my mind is spinning with ideas, but I'd like to see someone else's examples!! If you know where one is, could you let me know.. I did search the gallery and couldn't come up with anything..but I could be doing it wrong.

I have some examples of ones I've decorated in my gallery but its just the embellished chips, not pages done with them.

I just got one of these the other day. I have been racking my brain to come up with some ideas, but of course, I got nothing. Thanks for sharing that pic with us. Please give more ideas if you have them.

Well, when I say a batch.. I just mean a whole bunch. I stood there at Home Depot taking all the ones I liked... and it was A LOT!

In the box that shows the address/url remove the "www.http.com//" at the beginning.

my sons enlistment in the Army. I used 4 chips for
the title, and another one for the ink and pen. Its alittle
heavy with 5 chips.
