punch storage?

I have mine in a Medium size Rubbermaid tote (actually 2 of them). But Colleen, I like the way yours look. They are so organized. I am going to have to get a couple of these. Is there enough room on the drawers that you could tape a punched sample of the punch that is in that drawer so that you don't have to keep looking through each one? Just wondering.

I'll work on getting a picture. I have a new scanner and just can't seem to get the files the right size to download here at SB.com. I'll keep working on it. But they look nice and were only $15 per unit. I could actually use another one!

I'm a little short on room though.

I presently have my punches stored in a two drawer Sterlite container. The problem is that they are so heavy that the drawers come out of the track and sag. This irritates me to no end and I usually end up cussing like a sailor. So.....
I thought I would turn to all of you excellent organized scrappers out there to enlighten me as to how you store your punches. TIA!

I've never been a fan of the sterlite containers for that reason. One of these days I'll get around to taking pics of my craftroom... I have I think 8 towers of the Iris drawer systems. I began as a rubber stamper, so I've got the heavy wood mounted stamps in those, and I've got a ton of punches, as well as tons of paper in them. I've yet to have one of these drawers come off the track. You can get them at most office supply places, but they are more expensive than the sterlite containers.

I keep my punches in a rubbermaid container. Might be the size you would keep shoes in. I had a smaller one, but outgrew that. Then I throw the container on my shelf. Works great!

I use the Sterlite and they do drive me crazy. Mine aren't very deep either.

I'm glad I'm not alone in this. I have about 30-40 punches...different sizes. I may go check out some tool boxes to keep them in. I don't use them all that much but when I do, I get tired of wrestling with those darn drawers.

I love the Sterlite containers, but not for really heavy things like stamps and punches.

Hey I just thought of this "LIGHT BULB" What about one of those over the door shoes storage thingies with the little nags on it that would work

That's what I was thinking, only a jewelry hanger instead of shoe as it's smaller. Most have clear pockets and you hang it up so you can see exactly what you've got.

I know Simplicity has patterns for them if ya wanna make them

I have all my punches in a shoebox.

I have seen the over the door ones for shoes but not for jewelry. I saw somewhere, where a lady had found an awesome antique printers box/shadowbox thingie with different sized cubbies that worked great for holding her punches. Of course, I'm never lucky enough to find anything like that. Kind of like when I watch those decorating shows where they find all the really cool stuff at tag sales that they make into really cool things for their rooms.

They're just hardware organizers from one of the home improvement stores. I don't have anything clever to store my large punches in yet, though. Right now, they're all in a large rubbermaid container.

I bought two black CD shelves. They are full of punches and overflowing. The punches can sit up and can be sorted by themes.

I also use these tool-box type storage containers for my punches. But, what I do is, punch out a little "punchie" of the punch and glue it onto the front of the drawer, so I can see just what is in that drawer without having to pull it open.

I have a list of all my punches and what drawer they're in, so it only takes me a second or two to look on the list to see what drawer to pull out.

I like that idea of putting them in those little drawers. But mine is full of embellishments right now.

I might look into the behind the door things.

I bought this online somewhere about 6 years ago. I use it for my
alpha punches, and some of my smaller punches. I use plastic
boxes with lids for my border punches and bigger punches. I love
the over the door one. It doesn't take up space anywhere else
