Hi. My name is Shannon and I really need your help. My friend, Jodi, found out Sunday night, 4/17, that her 3 year old son has Leukemia. Her and her husband, Shawn, have a 5 year old daughter and are pregnant with their third baby-due in October. Luke began chemo Monday, 4/18, in the afternoon. He will be undergoing 29 days of agressive chemotherapy at the hospital and intermittent outpatient. Afterwhich, he will go through two and a half years of intermittant chemo. Luke and his parents are at Children's hospital in Milwaukee, WI, and home in between therapies. Her sister is my greatest friend and we are searching to do something meaningful for Jodi. We thought we'd scrapbook Luke's journey of fighting this and eventually WINNING! I have already begun to print out all the well wishes, letters of encouragement, and prayers coming for little Luke. We want to make sure and document all emails received in response to what is happening with Luke. Their lives have been turned completely upside-down. There are so many things they need. I have prayer and a bit of creative talent to give-hence, the scrapbook idea. It is a bit larger of a task then I first thought. I have finished 20 pages so far, with enough emails and documents to make AT LEAST 100 more pages. I am so serious about that. So, you see the overwhelming factor of the thought of needing to buy all the supplies. .
My question is this-would you be willing to donate supplies for this scrapbook? Even if it is your "scraps" I don't care at all. I would be so thankful for any help I could possible get. I would love to buy all the supplies, however, I can't. We have four kids and budget is tight, but we really want to bless Jodi and Shawn. I do have a few glue sticks, and some cardstock but that's it. I had to resort to making this scrapbook 8 1/2x11, instead of the normal 12x12-simply because I didn't have a book that size. So, I am using what is available around the house for background paper and dimensions.*I have about 20 sample wallpaper books that I am using for background papers. Understand I am not a great scrapbooker, and I don't even claim to be very "good" at it;) But, I guess it is wanting to bless her socks off is what counts! Thank you for your time and consideration for this situation. Thank you so much for reading this post.
