Silly question about "blinkies"

I have been on other message boards and have seen some really cute and creative blinkies with people's signatures. Can they be used on this board (because this is where I want to stay) - and if so, does anyone know how to use them?

I was always told you could not use blinkies on this site....but you might want to ask in the Technical Forum!

I'm pretty sure you can't use blinkies. I think I remember reading somewhere that when they allowed them it slowed the boards down to much so they don't allow them anymore.

I don't like the blinkies, that's why I use this website more then the others, they are just too distracting!

Whoo, I am glad I saw this. I've trying to upload a blinkie for Basic Grey. Had no idea it was against the rules. Just thought it was fun.
