Scrapbooks VS Photo Albums!?!?

Hello! I am fairly new to scrapbooking, but am already addicted (and now broke)! I am wondering if most people keep photo albums as well as scrapbooks, or if albums are all in the past. With digital cameras taking over, I felt this was the best way to go. What is the concensus?

P.S. I love looking at all of your lo's... they give me great ideas, and I can't wait to post some of mine for all of you to see as well!

I no longer keep photo albums, but also tend to use more pictures in my lo's than a lot of people. I used to keep both, but now like to combine momentos, journaling, and pictures in one album.

I just switched to digital photos, so still can't let go. I scrap out of order and whatever I'm in the mood for, so I still try to keep mini albums so my photos are in some kind of order instead of boxes and envelopes. I don't think I'd ever be organized enough to get it all in my layouts.

I don't keep photo albums. I just don't find them necessary any more but I am also a major NON pack rat. I hate stuff laying around. If it sits on a shelf for two weeks and no one has touched it I toss it or donate it. I have regretted this choice before but I continue to live that way. I just can't stand clutter!

I don't keep photo albums either. I print want I want to scrap, then put all the rest on a photo CD. I have a digital camera, but if you use a 35mm, you can have them put on a digital CD at the processers and just print out what you want.

Uh oh, I'm weird. I do keep photo albums!

I have thousands of pics waiting to be scrapped, and I want them to be enjoyed while they "wait" for their time to come (if it ever does). My parents for my birthday last year gave me a photo album tower.... it's a shelf with a door on it that holds 16 mini-albums. This doesnt come close to storing them all but at least it's something!

When they day comes (in the very, very distant future, LOL) that I go completely digital, I suppose I'll get rid of it and keep everything on a CD.

I, too, keep both. My scrapping is so sporadic that I'd never get to enjoy my photos if I didn't keep albums!
