Need help choosing pic! UPDATE

Hi,
I altered a pic of my daughter sitting in a wicker basket but I can't decide which on eI like best to print.
I want to print one out in 5X7 for a LO...
can you tell me which one you think stands out the most or is more appealing?

I like the one on the left....the colorized basket. She's precious!!!

Tough decision. My first impression was the colorized basket because the color is subtle, but then I noticed the colorized dress showed off the baby better. That doesn't help you, does it???? Precious baby!

Ouuuuuuuuuu that's a toughie. No wonder you're asking for help! I think I'd go with the one on the left, with the colorized basket.

Yep....i like the Right One better. It stands out more. I think my eye jumps too much with the one on the left--keeps wanting to dart back and forth from the baby to the basket...distracting. The one on the right is focused more where the baby 'is' --towards the center.

Also, if I look at the teeny little thumbnail (in the bar just under the big picture at your gallery site) my eye is immediately drawn to the one on the right.

IMHO! lol

thats so hard!! they are both so cute... BTW what program are you using to do that? I am thinking of buying a program but havent decided what one... I really like how the little bit of color is on a pic.

I prefer the one on the right....You did a great job! i am a little bias because my favorite color is purple, so I can just imagine what kind of layout you could make with her cute purple dress!!!

I like the basket being colored.... having the dress colored is almost too distracting for me since it's a couple different colors. Besides, with just coloring teh basket it actually give you more to work with in terms of the rest of the page (cardstock, patterned paper, ribbon, whatever) since brown is a neutral.

I love the pic on the pic on the right, you could do an awesome LO with those colors. I to would like to find out what program u are using cause I would like to do this with some photos. Great Pics!

I am using Microsoft Photodraw, but you can do this with any program very easily!!!

1- What I do is make a copy of the picture, then paste it over the orignal picture.
2 -Make the copy black @ white.
3- With the eraser, I erase the part of the picture that I want in color... Since I am erasing on the copy, the color of the original picture underneath appears
and Voila! you are done

then save your new pic under a different file name so not to lose the original.

HMMM Ill have to fuigger this out. Im so clueless when it comes to my photo program.

I thought that I liked the basket one, but now I think that the other one is the best to scrap. I think it spotlights the baby better!

I like the basket one myself - I see a lot of clothing colored - but the basket colored is very original - and she's so darn cute sitting inside! I think either way you go it will be an adorable layout!!!

I agree that since brown is neutral there are lots of possibilities...

I can't wait!! I ordered 10 5X7's and 30 4X6's today for LO's.
I also just received a package from JoAnns online, 4 packs of paper, 3 punches, 4 packs of eyelets... I'M READY TO GO!!! gotta wait until monday when I get my pics!!!!

Not used to using earthy tones, so not sure yet if I'm fond of this LO, but I'm sure it will grow on me
