Who has attended Scrapbook Expo in 2005?

HI! I have been on vacation for four glorious weeks and am just getting back to reality. LOL I just realized that registration is opening in 36 hours for the Scrapbook Expo in San Diego. I glanced at the class list and found at least a dozen classes I'd love to take. Two or three is the most that will happen! LOL Sooooo....I thought I would ask here to see what classes you have taken at the Expo this year and if you would recommend them?

I am going to Austin TX in 3 weekends from now but can't tell you about the classes yet! I did go last year and loved all the ones I took. Although I am not taking any this year for SEI...I did 2 last year and thoroughly enjoyed them. I don't know if San Diego's are the same but the ones that filled up the fastest for Austin were...What Do I Do With This??, God Bless Little Boys, & God Bless Little Girls. I just went and looked and oddly the Bazzill ones are about the only ones not completely filled so don't know if that helps you any.

I am interested in the SEI classes because I had a GREAT one last year and I am interested in the Bazzill intermediate one and Little Black Dress and Latest & Greatest and so many more. LOL

I went to the one in Atlanta last year. It was a ton of fun.

i went the expo in orange county. i took one class. i can't remmber but it was a tag class and it was good made these cute tags

I went to the expo last month, here in Portland Oregon. I took two classes the one I would strongly recommend if you like this style is the " Shabby Chic" class. The teacher was Carolyn Peeler and she did a awesome job! She made the class so much fun and the projects we made were great also!
The one class that I would NOT recommend is the "Nature Trail Mini Album" The album we made was okay but I did not like the teacher too much. She just seemed like she was not all there. This is jmo.

I went to the Expo in San Jose, I took the Bookin With Bazzill Class (by Embellish It), we basically were given everything to make a 6x6 album..not a bad class at all.

I also took a Rusty Pickle Love Notes class. I was a little disappointed with this one because I had previously taken a CKU RP class (Cherish A-Z) and was so much more impressed with that one. This one was a bit of a let down.

Lastly, I took MM Distressed which was ok, we did 3 different projects and learned to use their tools. Not too bad.

The ones I am taking in Austin TX are...

Flower Power, Breaking Into digital scrapbooking, The Cutest Little Canvas in Town, Not At All Basic with Basic Grey, Bookin' with Bazzill, God Bless Little Girls, What Do I Do With This?...yes I am going both days and yes I am nuts but I love the learning and know from last year I would spend more shopping then going to the classes...LOL!

I am likely to only sign up for two, but I may be the Teacher's Pet in any others I can get into when the Volunteer Opportunites become available. I am going Thursday and Saturday for sure since I have confirmed daycare those two days. Friday is a maybe. My DD is four and has gone before and could handle the Exhibit Hall for awhile, but I cannot take classes or volunteer with her, of course.

I booked Journaling Recipes and Bookin' With Bazzill and a crop night.

I will try my luck on the Teacher's Pet program for a couple more classes. It never fails, though, that whatever classes I am interested in are always offered at competing times!!! LOL

Is there a site that lists these expos anywhere?

I would take God Bless Little Girls (its using SEI and Bazzill ) (well the boy version was!) I took GBLBoys..and What do I do with this (mostly for DH's sis) and I wouldn't take it again. It was WAY beginner. WAY Beginner.

OK just finished up a long 2 days in Austin...It was awesome!

I WON 1st PLACE IN THE PAGE LAYOUT CONTEST!
I highly recommend entering...you never know! I never guessed in a million years!

Here are the classes I took and my recommendations as promised~HAVE FUN!
*Flower Power~The 2 2-page LOs are very cute...springy & girly but cute! However, if you already use flowers then it is real basic.
*Breaking Into digital scrapbooking~if you have even considered digital scrapbooking...I highly recommend this. They demo Epson but do not push it heavily. They have a very well-written book you get.
*The Cutest Little Canvas in Town~I LOVED! Very neat!
*Not At All Basic with Basic Grey~good class...you create a page creating your own background paper by using 3-4 BG papers from diff families.
Bookin' with Bazzill~you get a mini album & kit of your choice of 4...very cute but you don't learn a whole lot...they basically want you to create your it right there w/out any pics...hard for me
*God Bless Little Girls~all of Quick Quotes classes are awesome even the other 2 they offered besides GBLG & GBLB. I bought both of the other kits they were so worth it.
*What Do I Do With This?~VERY VERY BASIC!!!!! The kit wasn't worth $35. If you have never used eyelets, chalks, cork, hinges, etc. then I think this would be worth it but otherwise...NO!

My mom took the organized one and they heavily pushed their product so she doesn't really recommend. She also took distressing and said pretty good but lady was pretty pushy.
