Need suggestions

I am trying to glue plastic beads to toothpicks! they are gonna be power poles...gotta have the beads on good enough that they will hold wire and string...two beads on each "pole" (power line then phone line). Anyways, everything I have don't work! I tried elmers glue which first of all didnt work then i found out its not acid free. im just gonna take them off and ball off the glue....but i gotta find something that will work! otherwise i guess ill have to make the poles out of paper! ugh...after painting all my cute toothpicks! i tried rubber cement and didnt work....adhesive wet glue didnt work.... too small for photo mounts even cut....

don't know about the acid level, but what about using super glue?

lol acid! lol.....yeah that woudl work though. i even saw my grandpas wood glue but i know its acidic!

What about the super glue and then spray it with an archival mist? Or is it so that you could run the wire through the bead and use it like a staple?

I use my crystal effects (Stampin'Up!) for stuff like that. Seems to work really well. Good luck!

I was going to suggest Crystal Laquer, similar to Crystal Effects. It's a clear liquid glaze like stuff.

Hot glue might work?

i wish i had money to go buy the stuff yall are suggesting! i need a hot glue gun....ugh. I have a low temp one but i think its in storage soemwhere! who knows where since my stuff is spread all over the place....lol. If i find it ill try it or if they have one at the DT ill try it...

Not sure on the acid free but Aileen's glue works great and of course the good old hot glue!
