what do you use......

as the shakables in your shakerboxes......i looked in the gallery and all over the internet and it looks like people use EVERYTHING in them...what is your fav thing to use in them??

just tryin to get some ideas...

Well, I've never actually used any of the ones I have but the ones I've made for swaps have had seed beads in them.

never done a shakerb but i have a Coluzzle for it but i cant figure it out how to put it together

hey!! I personally do not do shaker boxes because the first time I tried to make one, it completely failed...but you're right, you can use just about anything. I have a friend who uses the small glass beads, some use die cuts, sand, glitter....just small particles...

I love making shaker boxes - my favorite stamp set is On The Beach - so I use sand in those - there is a set of flip flops that looks so cute. I have done them for birthdays and used my smallest circle punch to make my own confetti - I have also done tiny beads too. I just bought some small shells to try next - I know I am going to have to make my foam layers bigger for that.

hey beth sounds like you have made several of these do you have them loaded anywhere in the gallery...i looked in your gallery and couldnt find them.....

No I haven't loaded any - I will try and get a few out in the next couple of days - I have a show tonight so I won't be home - but let me see what I can do - I always seem to give them away - but I think I have two done with sand at home right now.

tiny beads or little pieces of shaped confetti are my favorite things to use in shakers

I always use something to match the theme then beads. The last one I made was for a bunny page. I made a carrot and put a scene in it that looked like part was above ground and part below. I cut tear drops and chalked them to look like seeds the added black beads.

I've made some with small beads.

My favorite though is the one I made with Sweet Corn Seeds. I had alot of fun with that ....my family thought I was nuts until they saw the finished product!
