I could use your advice and suggestions

I am going on my first scrapbook retreat next week at the beach, I am very excited to get a lot of scrapping done! But I am puzzled on what I should bring. I am not too sure if I should just try and pack it all or if I should sit down and decide what I am going to work on and just bring the things I need for those projects. But then I think knowing my luck I would want something I left behind.
Anyway, I have been trying to figure this out and I thought maybe those of you who have gone to retreats can give me your inputs. Thanks for any advice or suggestions!

i've never been on a retreat...i just want to say i'm a little jealous....but have fun, relax and enjoy!

Of course bring the basics, scissors, adhesive, ect. You could just bring things you need for layouts you want to get completed.

I would figure out what you want to do and bring supplies based on that. This is coming from someone who brings everything including the kitchen sink. I have been getting better. Besides I am getting tired of lugging everything for a weekend. I think I get so overwhelmed and so I wind up just sitting around and chatting.

The space will probably be limited so you probably don't want to take a whole bunch.

I just got back from the scrappers get together and I took just about everything. I had my Cropper Hopper full of paper. I took my tote and a rolling crate (both were packed full). I took all my eyelets, brads, fibers, pens, pencils, adhesives, quote stacks, chalks and inks. I selected some ribbon, stickers and stamps. I took my circle scissors, Coluzzle, punches, tools, zyron machine. When I set up my stuff, it looked like I was at home . It really didn't take long to unpack and pack my things and I felt it was worth it to have everything I needed/wanted.

I wanted to have all my pages 'pre organized' with everything I would put on the page in a protector, but it just didn't work out that way. I took a bunch of pics and just went to town. I knew we would be croping only one day, but it was from 6:30 am to 1:00 am. I completed 13 los. Granted they weren't the most elaborate (like some of the masterpieces that were done that day ), but I was completely satisfied with how they turned out.

I would find out how much room you will have to work and how long you will be scrapping and go from there.

I guess it would kind of depend on how much stuff you actually have and if it is feasible to take it all. Several of the girls I scrap with are able to fit most of there stuff into a few containers that are managable to bring everything- they don't usually scrap other than at our scrap nights. I on the other hand have an entire room filled with stuff and some of it has even migrated out to the garage, so I have to pretty much decide what I am going to work on ahead of time and plan wha tI am going to take. I usually take some extra stuff as well knowing that even if I am not planning on using a particular stamp set or sizzix die, that the other girls may want to use some of them. but planning ahead does help me get more done too.

There is five of us and we rented a condo on the beach for 3 nights and 4 days. We each have our own room there is a dinning room table that seats 6 and card tables there for our use also. So I think there is going to be plenty of room.
I think I am going to try and plan ahead as much as possible but I will be bringing extra. Like my sizzix machine and the dies and also most of my stamp sets so the other girls can use them as well. I think just looking at everything here it gets overwhelming on what to bring.
My plan is to get as many pages done as I can! I have been so busy here at home with the boys to get anything done lately. Plus being it is the summer we are hardly ever in the house anyways. I am sure a lot of you can relate.

Bathing Suit... Have Fun!!!

Huh! I was at the same weekend crop with Carol (croaking frog!)...she was AMAZING! Yep, she not only did all those LOs, she was set up amazingly! She's my idol...what more can I say.
I did pack my bathing suit and never saw the pool...we were so busy scrapping all day!
I only got 3 LOs done :-(....but that's OK with me...I had an absolute blast!
