Where do you buy your albums at?

Where does everyone buy their albums ? I'm having trouble buying albums for 12x12 that I like that are reasonable. I mostly scrap 8 1/2 X 11 and they can be found all over for under $20.

I only buy Creative Memories albums,but they are expensive. I think they are $36 for the 12x12. I like the quality and I think they will stand the test of time.

I have always used the CTMH 8.5x11 post bound, top loading albums, page protectors, and papers. These albums were in the $32.00 range, and I have completed 24 albums, each with one set of post extenders, making each album 2"thick. Quite an impressive sight all on one bookshelf, if I do say so myself. They made a decision to discontinue the entire size from their album line, with the exception of a "perfect for children or new scrapper" starter album. This company uses a page protector that has an extra 1/2" strip running between the holes and the page itself to lay flatter in the album, and I already own about 200 protectors, so as you can see I have quite an investment in this. I emailed Marissa at paperaddict and told her my problem. She put a couple of page protectors in an envelope and sent them to me, and to my astonishment, Dalee is obviously the company that makes CTMH materials. I am so relieved that I don't have to make a change, but can continue to have all my albums look alike. The best news is that the Dalee albums are $19.00, nearly half what I was spending for CTMH. I am pretty sure they are exactly the same, and will hold up in the same good way. Nancy

I will only use CM albums. I love them and the price is worth it.

Absolutely CM albums! I love the quality and the variety of colors. I use different colors for different types of scrapping; i.e., heritage albums are black, Celebrations (Christmas, BD's, Thanksgiving) albums are dark aqua, and son's 5 albums are silver grey.

Well, being a Scrap in a Snap consultant, I obviously use our albums. They hold true 12 x12 pages so there is no need to trim the paper to make it fit. They are post bound and top loading...great because I usually move pages around since I scrap out of order chronologically. The page protectors have the extra "strip" that allows the pages to lie flat. They come in fun, vibrant colors...my favorite color album is the Twilight (going back to my reply to the Color thread) but I just got one in Caribbean that is absolutely gorgeous...looks just like the turquoise blue waters of the Caribbean!

I have only used and will continue to use CM albums. They are well worth the money and I have yet to have a problem with them.

CM albums. I haven't tried but one other and a 3 ring binder and found the CM is really to my liking.

I started out with a 12 x 12 Canson 5 Ring Binder for both the family album and my youngest son's album. When I run out of refill pages, I am converting to Colorbok 12 x 12 post bound albums. I like the idea of having the page protector fastened to the album instead of the Canson way with the page connected to the album and the page protector sliding over top.

Here is a hint for all you Creative Memory album buyers:

Westrim albums are the CM albums and you can usually find them at your lss for around $24. If they have the albums, they should have the refills too. Our store carries Westrim, and a lot of people who need refills for CM albums buy the Westrim, because they are the same.

im a CM album gal..all the way..i love them. i use the 12x12 and there isnt any one thing i can say bad about them..they may be a bit more than some price wise but well worth it in my book.

I use the Dalee albums. I have bought a couple online, but will now be buying them from, well....ME! I am signing up to be a IRW consultant and they carry the Dalee albums. For page protectors, I use the Dalee and Century Craft. You can find the Century Craft protectors at Michaels. They also have that extra little bit on the edge of the page protector that helps your pages to lie flat, and they fit 12x12 cardstock without trimming.

I bought the Westrim Refills a long time ago and they do not fit the CM albums. They are barely larger.
With CM albums, you also have a guarantee. If you should ever ruin the cover of your albums or hinges, etc.... all you have to do is take it to your consultant and she will replace it.
If you buy a Westrim and 2 years later, you spill something on it or ruin it somehow, you cannot replace it.

Westrim albums are not CM albums, they just try to be. The quality of the Westrim albums don't even compare to the CM albums. The staples in the Westrims rust. If you had a page from each in your hands you would be able to see and feel a difference.

I only use CM albums, and I will always use CM albums.

JoAnn Fabric has many scrapbooks in all sizes. They have a post bound one (I can't remember the name right now) that is 39.99 and comes with 50 top loading pages and protectors (100 pages). I used the 50% off coupon in their mailer so I only ended up paying $20 for it. (I have bought 5 albums this way so far).

I also like many used the CM albims. Have you seen the CTMH line? Their wonderful! & affordable!!! A ture 12x12 fit too! Using CM albums for ...wow... 9 years now...I'm so tired of having to trim down my pages!

I use SIAS albums or Dalee's bought online or at my LSS exclusively.. not overly expensive, well made and easy to use... I used to use CM, but I like the ease of re-arranging better in top loaders, and I can use background paper without wallpapering and cutting to size.. both albums I use are true 12*12 now too!

I also use CM albums and love them! I haven't seen anything else that matches the quality and they have so many options for covers as far as color and even texture.
I have 8 of them full and 3 of the baby books and I have never had a problem.

I use Westrim and Pioneer albums. I also buy my filler pages for the Westrim from Hobby Lobby and use their brand they fit just fine. I usually wait for Micheals or Hobby Lobby to have a 50% off and purchase my albums then, or if I need one in a real big hurry buy it at the scrapbook store I work at.
