which at home party should I have?

I'm interested in having an at home scrapbooking party but not sure which one to do?

I know I could call consultants, but of course their product/party will be the best. I would like to hear pros/cons for each of them.

I know I don't want Creative Memories, I'm not a huge fan of their products. (No offense to anyone)

The only other company I know of is Close to my Heart.

Any suggestions? Thoughts?

I like Close To My Heart and Stampin Up.

I really like Stampin Up I've been to CTMH too and they're nice as well.

There is also TLC (Top Line Creations). They are all good, but remember Stampin Up and CTMH (Close to My Heart) are really big on the stamping side of scrapbooking. So when making your choice that is something to concider.

CTMH is the reason that I started liking stamps. It was so awesome! Not, I love my stamps! To be honest, I like their stamps but I (personally) am not that fond of their scrap stuff. Just my opinion. You can ask to see the consultants catalog to see if it is something you would like to host a party for or not. But, sometimes, they say no unless you agree first. I stray from having a party for those people. I think I should have the right to see what I am allowing to be associated with my home and name.

There are consultants out there that won't let you see their catalog until you book a show first? That's ridiculous!

I am a Pampered Chef consultant and would never dream of telling someone they had to book a show before I showed them a catalog. Unreal.

I'm partial to TLC but of course I sell the stuff so I love it, you could check out the link I have in my bio at 'My Place' there if you click on the shop button and then click on home, at the bottom of that page you will be able to look up a consultant in your area.

I'm a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and I'd have to say as much depends on the consultant/demo as does the company's products. Consultants vary widely in their experience and the sorts of things they offer their hostesses. While I do scrapbooking workshops, some demonstrators don't scrapbook, so they don't offer it. And some demonstrators don't do workshops at all...they just buy for themselves and their friends.

The best way to find a good consultant for any company is to start with their website. Stampin' Up! has a demonstrator locator as does most other companies out there. For ours, you have to sell $500 in a rolling 3 months to even get on the locator, so demonstrators who are very new or only buy their minimums don't make it on there. They give you five names after you put in your location; if they have websites, you can get a look at what they have in their galleries and you can email or call and ask questions.

I will say that while I joined SU! mostly as a card-maker, lately their scrapbooking supplies have improved immensely. They have great kits and papers as well as lots of matching embellishments.

I really like stampin up, their products and my demonstrator! The demonstator definatly makes a difference like someone else said!

Depends on what you are looking for. I'm a TLC consultant and if you like quick easy to put together kits then we are the compnay you may want to consider. If you are more creative and like to create from scratch a stamping company may be for you. CTMH specializes more into scrapbooking than Stampin Up althought SU has made great strides over the last couple of years to promote scrapping on a equal playing field as card making. I was a SU consultant for 5 years and they are very good company as is CTMH.

Being an addictive type personality myself, I have to say use caution if you don't already stamp you may find you love it and then you've got a whole new hobby/expense to add to your scrapping. However the touches it adds to your album are wonderful. Good luck choosing!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE CTMH!!! They have such a wide variety of cardmaking & scrapbooking items... Plus LOTS & LOTS of great embellishments, and totally LOVE their stamps too!! I wasn't much of a stamper until they came out with the clear stamps, and now I just can't get enough of them! LOL

Aside from CTMH, I do also really enjoy a lot of items that TAC {The Angel Company} offers

I am not a consultant but I love Close to My Heart. I have been to several parties and had a blast. We made 12"x12" two page layouts from a kit that were really cute. Also the consultant makes a big difference, some are more card oriented and some more scrapbook oriented.

I like stampin up too!

I just had a Stampin' Up! home party and it was really really good. We all learned so much and it was great for beginners and the experienced ones. We had a lot of fun. The Stampin' Up products are great. I would recommend a Stampin' Up home party to anyone!

For a scrapbooking party that caters to scrappers the ones I would go with are TLC, Memory-works, or I remember when.

I love memory-works and just recently bought a couple kits from TLC and loved them. In my gallery is the havin fun page I made with one of their hot fudge kits. Its the last page I made for my gallery but I can easily do 3 or 4 more pages using that kit.

Memory works have great things in the catalog as well and what I like about them is they sell kits that have many sheets of papers and match tags or other things to match that kit.

I am a big fan of stampin up and love it but I wouldn't say its geared always for the scrapper in mind. JMO!! I love the company and their stamps though.
